Yesterday was gruelling - up at 4.30am for a 6am start, I worked for sixteen hours as poll clerk for the referendum vote at one of Islington's schools. We experienced no major rush to the polls (it is a dull and almost unfathomable subject for most people!), but we had a constant flow of voters all day.

But let us forget about such pedestrian things. I have a day off to recover, and of course to indulge in some more boogying madness. We are also off to see the long-awaited play Bette and Joan (featuring Greta Scacchi and Anita Dobson) tonight, courtesy of our friend Russ who got us preview seats! Yay!

So without further ado, with the aid of that classic diva of dance Miss Evelyn ("Champagne") King let us rejoice the end of another week - Thank Disco It's Friday!
