Founder member of Bucks Fizz (heroes of Eurovision), possessor of the toothsome smile that graced a thousand Smash Hits pull-out posters, Mr Mike Nolan is - gulp! - 60 years old today!
Lordy, I feel old.
Acrimonious legal wrangles were to follow their 1981 mega-success, and today only Bobby is allowed to use the name "Bucks Fizz", while the other three (Mike, Cheryl Baker and Jay Aston) have to perform as "formerly of".
