Everything's for sale

Our visit to see the British Museum's "Hieroglyphs: unlocking ancient Egypt" exhibition on Tuesday was on occasions - ahem - eye-opening...

I'm off to leafy Chiswick in West London with John-John today for our first "annual" pilgrimage to browse their myriad quirky charity shops since before the pandemic.

Here's our anthem...

A jolly outing!

Come on, shake your body baby

Oh dear. After a rip-roaring weekend's "Eurovision replacement party" and a subsequent lie-in yesterday till 2pm, one might have thought we here at Dolores Delargo Towers might have been sick to the back teeth of overly-earnest, talentless-yet-energetic acts from Europe. Yet here we are again, dear reader, at the start of week #8 in lockdown...

...and what have I discovered to lift our spirits and wake us up on this Tacky Music Monday?

Miss Gloria Estefan must have been so proud.

Have a good week, dear reader - it's forecast to be a warm one...

I really, really wanna zigazig, ah

Pest control is always a problem at this time of year in the extensive gardens here at Dolores Delargo Towers.

The weather remains stubbornly grey out there, although I think the hailstorms are over for the time being - so we may spend a little time in the garden today tending to our burgeoning plant collection...

As is customary on a Sunday, we need some appropriately swinging choons to chivvy us along - and what better to start with than a long-overdue visit from the superb talents of our beloved Postmodern Jukebox?

Baby, Scary, Ginger, Sporty and Posh never sounded quite like this!

Saturday...

...a quiet day in, here at Dolores Delargo Towers. Doing, you know, important stuff...
