Manly-flavoured lollies, anyone?

Ice lolly manufacturers have responded to demand for a product that in no way resembles a cock.

A new lolly, the Ice Block Max, has been developed to meet the needs of male heterosexuals who want to enjoy a lolly without feeling they are basically eating a penis.

The new product is a grey cube on a stick resembling a building material, which tastes of bloody steak for a ‘more manly flavour’ and features a picture of Jason Statham on the wrapper.

A spokesman for manufacturers Walls said: “This lolly is so red-bloodedly male it can practically do 200 pull-ups while grunting ‘Hurr!’

“The unique, perfectly cuboid shape means that it doesn’t have a shaft. Research shows that anything taller than it is wide basically looks like an erection when being sucked.

“Of course we will continue to make the classic phallic lollies – Twister, Calippo, Mini Milk – but sales are likely to fall now men don’t need to look as if they’re well-practised at sucking cock.

“Usually when manufacturers try to make a hyper-masculine product it somehow ends up seeming super-gay. That’s why we’re thrilled to have Jason Statham promoting it.

“He’s straightness personified, especially the way he wrestles that other guy in 'The Transporter' in a big pool of oil, with his shirt off.”

To gay or not to gay?

Should you go gay with your male friends to attract women? The pros and cons

Gay hockey drama Heated Rivalry has been a massive hit with women, so would straight men wanting to pull benefit from a change in sexual orientation? Here’s what you should consider first.

Sex can ruin a friendship
People often report that friendships are never the same after you’ve slept with someone. But that’s with women and men lack any form of emotional complexity. So chances are you’ll have sex with your mate Steve and a few hours later it’ll be overshadowed by a heated debate in the pub about the best flavour of crisp.

Your male friends may not be attractive enough
You may – correctly – feel that your male friends are munters and you could do a lot better. It’s one thing saying everyone is beautiful inside when you’re trying to sound liberal, it’s another when you’ve got to bum Gareth. Still, as men have pointed out for years: "You don’t look at the mantelpiece when you’re poking the fire."

You’ll need to find time for all the gay and straight sex
Most orifices are similar, despite what unadventurous girlfriends may claim, so the actual sex shouldn’t be a problem. The challenge will be finding time to have sex with your male friends AND all the female hotties who’ll fancy you now you’re gay. Always be on the lookout for time efficiencies, such as nipping into the toilets of your local for a quickie with Darren while they’re changing the barrel.

Women may turn out to be hypocrites about shagging a gay man
As well as the guys in Heated Rivalry, women often like gay men in general. But there’s still a risk that when you try to pull women after turning gay they won’t be into it, because you’re gay. You don’t know what’s worse – the hypocrisy, the homophobia, or Simon’s clueless blowjobs.

You will have to make big lifestyle changes
It’s always felt slightly prejudiced to you, but gay men have a reputation for dressing well, so you’ll have to buy some smart jackets and trousers that actually fit. In addition, you’ll need to start listening to ostensibly gay music, and if you’re not into Gloria Gaynor, Taylor Swift, Scissor Sisters, Pet Shop Boys, etc. this will be a pain in the arse, so to speak. Just keep telling yourself it’ll be worth it for all the muff.

You don’t fancy men
This is probably the biggest obstacle to turning gay, and may affect your ability to perform in the bedroom. At least if you can’t get it up with a woman they’re usually really nice about it, but the same isn’t true of your mates, who’ll mercilessly take the piss in the pub. Your erectile dysfunction is unlikely to be helped by shouts of ‘BLOBBY BLOBBY BLOBBY!’.

STOP PRESS:

The gnomes at Google HQ have deemed this post to contain such objectionable material that they have put it behind a content warning.

I might just change the presumably "offensive" still from a commercially-available television programme to one of two men fisting. That'll teach the twats!

UPDATE:

Maybe they read my message above, or maybe an actual human being read this post - because the content warning has now been lifted...

Take it easy and enjoy it while you take it

Sigh. Back to the office again.

Another weekend - albeit a very enjoyable one - has whizzed by again, and so we're faced with another week of unbridled thrills and spills...

We need a little something special to get us going on this Tacky Music Monday - so how about a mantra we all live by, courtesy of the lovely Rosie?

Keep it gay, keep it light
Keep it fresh, keep it fair
Let it bloom every night,
Give it room, give it air

Keep your love-lovely dream and never wake it
Make it happy and be happy as you make it

Let it sing like a nightingale in May, keep it gay
Keep it free or you'll frighten it away
Take it easy and enjoy it while you take it
Keep it gay
Keep it gay
Keep it gay

Let it sing like a nightingale in may, keep it gay
Keep it free or you'll frighten it away
Take it easy and enjoy it while you take it
Keep it gay
Keep it gay
Keep it gay

I hope you're all singing along, dear reader! Have a good week...

Are you a balaclavasexual?

A guide for straight men:

Do you like hard men a little too much? Never confusing the Spetsnaz, the SAS or US Navy SEALs? Has your interest in elite military units blossomed into something more?

You read books about them in bed
Not just Bravo Two Zero, thought it is your comfort read for lonely nights. And what’s wrong with imagining Andy McNab reading you a chapter at bedtime? And maybe hopping in beside you, to cuddle up and keep warm as if you were evading capture in the Iraqi desert? It’s about survival. Not sex.

You fantasise about intimate unarmed combat training
You can definitely see yourself wrestling on a gym mat with Matt Bissonnette, his muscular arms enfolding you as he explains basic restraint techniques and how he was on the raid that killed Bin Laden. And if there’s a spark of attraction as his lithe body overpowers yours, it’s only because he’s miming breaking an enemy sentry’s neck.

You’ve always had a thing for Lewis Collins
You’ve always been fascinated by Lewis Collins. You thought it was because he had a cool Ford Capri in The Professionals and Who Dares Wins was wonderful crypto-fascist fun, but now you realise there was more to it. Luckily society is less prejudiced these days, so it’s a lot easier to come out as a balaclavasexual.

You know more about special forces than you know about your girlfriend
You struggle to remember your girlfriend’s birthday or the date she left you but can instantly name the technical specifications of the SAS’s preferred assault rifle. An M16 firing a standard NATO 5.56mm cartridge and fitted with an M203 grenade launcher for 40mm rounds. Facts like that stick in the mind, that’s all.

You dream about covert operations
Doesn’t everyone dream about storming a secure compound in Islamabad with a group of buff men? All firing Heckler & Kochs from the hip? There’s nothing Freudian about that, or your recurring dream about going down on Bear Grylls.

You hang on their every word
Chris Kyle’s homespun philosophy in American Sniper, where he says there are three types of people in the world ‘wolves, sheep and sheepdogs’, is just common sense. Obviously you aspire to be a sheepdog like Chris. Or you’d like him to stroke you and tickle your tummy.

You emulate them
Unlike a "Swiftie" you can’t copy the fashions of the men you admire so, as combat fatigues and a gas mask tend to get the police called. And joining the army is out of the question because the pay’s low and the chance of war high. So largely you emulate them by saying ‘on my six’ when asked where the brioche buns are in Sainsbury’s.

It’s not bragging

A straight man is confident that, if he were to have been gay, he would absolutely clean up.
38-year-old Martin Bishop, a married father of two, has never been attracted to men. He is, however, adamant that if he had been homosexual he would have pulled all of the hotties.

Bishop said: “Before I settled down, I did okay with the ladies. Not brilliantly. But women are picky and choose the wrong guys. Gay men would have been well into me.

“It’s not bragging to say I’d definitely have been able to score Graham Norton and Rylan for one-night things, and I reckon full relationships with Andrew Scott and Ncuti Gatwa. Open, obviously, because that’s how gays do things.

“Andy, my gay mate, tends to go quiet when I bring it up. He doesn’t really do that well, so I imagine it’s envy. And he fancies me. Finding out I was off the market was tough for him and his community.

“Why don’t I get approached by men when I’m out? I imagine they’re intimidated by my raw masculinity. It would be a different story if I got Grindr, just to see, but I won’t.”

Just doing it for a laugh

If you’re a heterosexual man, you may foolishly believe homoerotic experiences are not for you. But these incredibly gay day-to-day activities can give the even the straightest men a sexual thrill.

Peeling back the plastic on a cucumber
Any straight man who’s rolled back the plastic film on a ripe, eight-inch cucumber understands the exciting and challenging feelings the task provokes. The trick is to enjoy how it feels without thinking about it too much – then put the cucumber away and pretend it never happened.

Riding pillion on a motorbike
Grasping the firm torso of another man from behind is about as homoerotic as it gets. The added thrill of being on a motorbike – not to mention the vibrations of the engine – makes this one an absolute must for any open-minded straight guy. It’s a sensory buffet. Grip that waist extra hard on corners, it’s purely for safety.

Eating a banana/ice lolly/hot dog
Eating food that’s shaped like a penis is about as close as you can get to giving a man oral sex without giving a man oral sex. And it just so happens that a lot of phallic food is really delicious. Does your love of hot dogs reveal something about your sexuality? Who cares? A mouthful of manly meat feels so right.

Watching an action film
A huge number of action films – particularly those from the 80s and 90s – are virtually indistinguishable from gay pornography. Rewatch any classic movie with Schwarzenegger, Stallone or Van Damme and you’ll realise they’re all actually just 90-minute celebrations of the male form. There’s usually a token woman, but she’s just there for gay guys in denial.

Playing basically any sport
It’s hard to deny most sports have some pretty heavily gay overtones. First a bunch of chiselled, athletic men roll around on some grass, then they have a shower together. Despite this, sport is inexplicably considered heterosexual and macho – when in fact everyone playing or spectating is clearly 100 per cent homosexual.

Hanging out with other men
What could be more gay than a bunch of men hanging out together? The possibilities are endless. And, at the end of the day, what’s a handjob between friends? It’s not really gay if you’re just doing it for a laugh.
