De nouveaux morceaux

It's a gloomy, grey, blustery day here in London, so what better to take our minds off it than a selection of some of the "newer" music that has caught my ear of late?

Let's open with a corker! Courtesy of Mr DeVice, who flagged it up in his own blog just recently, the latest from our current "fave eccentrics" is faboo, of course:

Striking a more mellow tone, the latest release from Soft Cell's final album Danceteria is a melancholic trip down memory lane for Marc Almond, and is rather lovely:

Now for something completely different! A new discovery, courtesy of BBC Radio 3's esoteric Late Junction programme - here's a jolly number from one of Mali's finest artistes:

Another excellent mash-up from the genius Mr Bill McClintock:

From the familiar to something totally bizarre... I love this!

And, saving the best to last [despite the lack of a video] - the 'Boys rip the piss out of a dictator. Brilliantly:

Who washes Putin’s underpants?
Who has to keep them clean
deep in the bowels of his residence
in a top secret washing machine?

Who keeps his secrets secret?
Is nothing or everything true?
Is he fatally ill or strong as a horse
impossible to know or get close to?

When he poisons an opponent’s underpants
does he laugh at his brilliant scheme
knowing he’s got to the root of the problem
deadly but somehow obscene?

Is it difficult to sleep at night?
Does he always sleep alone
with nightmares of a prison cell
summoned to be be judged and to atone?

No, he’ll get away with anything
like Stalin and Peter the Great
He’s the only one that ever matters
He knows what he must dictate

Meanwhile his underpants are washed
by a loyal woman or man
and his secrets will be secret until
that one unfortunate day his shit hits the fan

As ever, I love to hear your thoughts, dear reader...

Nieuwe muziek om van te genieten

Having come in from the extensive gardens here at Dolores Delargo Towers, a) because a blanket of cloud has loomed in and there is rain forecast, and b) because I'm almost out of compost so can't embark on any more (much-needed) potting-on until I get to B&M for a new bag - I think it's time for another selection of choons that have caught my ear of late:

First up, a welcome (and unexpected) return of a fave diva, who doesn't seem to have stopped working since her first single hit the charts 62 years ago:

The new single from Soft Cell's forthcoming final album [to be released as a tribute to the late Dave Ball] Danceteria is simply fab, as one would expect:

It's so good to see 80s heartthrob Nick Heyward and the original members of the band together again - and that he's still looking so handsome, at (gulp) 65:

DJ Cummerbund's latest mash-up is yet another wonderful conglomeration of unexpected artists - and that "ginger guinea-pig" Ed Sheeran never sounded so good (mainly because he isn't in it much)!

Artists featured:
  1. Ringo Starr & his friends
  2. The other Beatles
  3. Ed Sheeran
  4. Randy “Macho Man” Savage
  5. Baby Sinclair
  6. Shakira
  7. Earl Sinclair
  8. Fran Sinclair
  9. Sebastian
  10. Robbie Sinclair
  11. Flounder
  12. Some Muppets
  13. Charlene Sinclair
  14. Ariel

Our latest fave pop diva is getting a bit fruity - in a lift!

And, saving the best to last... the collaboration we've all been waiting for, as the Queen of Fucking Everything and Our Princess finally duet! And to think, had we been in Amsterdam a week earlier, we might have been able to see this...

...and this mix for the single release is just pure class:

As ever, dear reader, I'd love to hear your thoughts...

Classix Nouveaux?

As I gather myself to go and meet up with Hils, Crog, Madam Arcati [who is heading from work] and Mother to go and gawp at a cornucopia of the late HM The Queen's outfits over the decades of her long life, I thought I would leave you, dear reader, with another selection of "newer" choons that have caught my ear of late...

First up, the very welcome - and unexpected - return of an old fave from the 1990s:

Here's someone who owes a great musical debt to another decade altogether - the '80s. Shades of Depeche Mode, methinks:

Now, this is a queen who just adores his dressing up box (and Troye Sivan, too, from the sound of it):

MySpace's most successful "discovery" is back - with a darker tone than her previous hits, too. It takes a couple of listens, but I like it:

Our Princess returns, in a most surprising collaboration, indeed. More surprising was that this appearance, and this entire video, was shot just down the road from us in Alexandra Palace - and we didn't know... Dammit!

I was fully expecting Kylie to occupy the "saving the best to last" slot - and then I watched/heard this! It's simply faboo:

As ever, I'd love to hear your thoughts...

Nuovi brani!

Another week, another heatwave here in London! I think, to take our minds off it, we should have a little selection of some of the "newer" tracks that have caught my ear of late - before I disappear like Margaret Hamilton - don't you?

First up - the "Summer of Madonna" [see also here] really kicks off with this one!

Speaking of "icons" [and conveniently getting in first, before Queen Madge releases her own track of the same name from Confessions II as a single] - the very final album from Soft Cell, in part a tribute to [tomorrow's birthday boy] Marc Almond's co-star Dave Ball who died last year, will be released on 25th September - and from it, the title track:

Madonna's mantra is "on the dancefloor I feel so free", and this trancey choon - that made me sit up and take notice when I heard it on the radio recently - fits the bill perfectly:

Twisting the genres of "dance" and "rock" as he is wont to do (brilliantly), here's another of Mr Bill McClintock's crazy mashups!

Taking one of the catchiest of Eurodance hooks [see here for the original] and making it his own, the lovely Mr Lambert's latest is rather fab:

However, saving the best to last - this simply faboo number, for which Signor Bambino has recruited a Disco legend and one of our favourite pop princesses! Ever since I first heard it, it's been gnawing at me what song(s) it reminds me of...

As ever, dear reader - let me know your thoughts!

Música ecléctica

I think we are well overdue, dear reader, another little selection of some of the "newer" choons that have caught my ear of late, don't you..?

Let's start with something completely unexpected - and rather wonderful:

Next up, a new one from everyone's fave gay Glam-Rocker:

It's always good to hear something new from one of my most revered bands of the 80s - and it is indeed [gulp] forty years this year since Notorious was released - with "their friend Nile". I love the pastiche of Top of the Pops in this video, too:

One of our most cherished divas of late has put together what she's calling a "visual album" on her YouTube channel - and from it, I adore this one:

Speaking of "Divas", our beloved Princess has released a brand new track to accompany her Netflix documentary. Perhaps not destined to rank amongst her classic back-catalogue, but it has charm, nonetheless:

But - saving the best to last - THIS!

As ever, I love to know your thoughts...

Ceol nua! *

"One is a DJ, one is what one plays..."

As we live in hope that there might be at least some sunshine over this long weekend (as opposed to looming grey skies and blustery winds), it's time, methinks, for a little selection of some of the "newer" music that has caught my ear of late:

Let's open with something fairly low-key and jolly - a very welcome new choon from probably the only boy-band that has actually progressed to assume the "national treasure(s)" mantle...

Speaking of sunshine - this sublimely summery number from Reigate's most notable export since Dame Margot Fonteyn, Disclosure, really lifts the spirits [especially so for me, as it is a mere four weeks to go before we are back in Spain!]:

Who else but the fantabulosa Mr Bill McClintock would ever have thought that 90s boy-band NSYNC and death-metallers Slipknot would ever fit together? But they do!

House favourite eccentrics - beloved here at Dolores Delargo Towers, and over at Hexenhausli DeVice - Haute & Freddy are back, and as completely fruitloop as ever...

Multi-award-winner Raye is certainly more Lily Allen than Kate Bush - but her new release (a very surprising collaboration with Oscar-winning film music composer - everything from The Lion King to the recent Dune remake - Hans Zimmer) is quite the work of art. It took a few watches/listens, but I love this!

Even the mighty Raye, however, isn't top of this list. Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson (CMAT)'s lyrics in the opening verse are rather scathing...

I was at the
Jamie Oliver petrol station
I needed deli but god I hate him
That man should not have his face on posters

...which makes it even more remarkable that the fat-tongued Mockney git makes a personal appearance in the video! Regardless - it's utterly, utterly brilliant!

As ever, dear reader, let me know your thoughts...

¡Nuevas melodías!

Madonna, GaGa and Christina Aguilera approve.

Frustratingly, it was a delightful Spring day today while I was stuck in the benighted office...

How about a little selection of the "newer" music that has caught my ear of late, to cheer things up a bit?

To open proceedings, here's a queen who's definitely overdosed on old Todrick Hall videos:

Next - quite a surprise, as the artist formerly known as "Sporty Spice" makes a very welcome return, more than twenty years since her last solo Top Ten hit. Why no video? It's a mystery. Great song, though!

Side-stepping a little bit from the mainstream, it's always good to know that the icon that is Iggy Pop can still be dragged out into the light to make new music. When it's the eccentric Anna Calvi doing the asking, I guess it's hard to resist...

Our absolute favourite Spanish goths-turned-dance-act Fangoria never fail to please - and I adore their new one! "A little bit of everything", apparently:

Miss Jessie Ware is rapidly becoming a firm favourite here at Dolores Delargo Towers, and for the video for her latest faboo (Ennio Morricone western-inspired) choon, she's only gone and roped-in [geddit?] the lovely James Norton as "The Cowboy". Lucky bitch!

And finally - saving the best to last, I am eternally grateful to our Blogger chum Mr DeVice for alerting me to this one! A meeting of true minds, where Neath's finest son and the legend that is Ana Matronic are concerned, methinks:

My kind of evening!

As ever, dear reader, I love to hear your thoughts...

STOP PRESS:

The UK's entry for Eurovision in May has been announced. I love it!

Ecco nuova musica! Può darsi...

A very mild, pseudo-Spring-like weekend is upon us, despite the fact that the sun barely rises over the houses over the back from the extensive gardens here at Dolores Delargo Towers at this time of year. We may be tempted outside to tackle some of the inevitable tasks that need to be done (in the quest to "banish death" from the garden in preparation for new growth to come)! [I did make a start yesterday, chopping back the old flowering stems of the Verbena bonariensis and Salvia ulignosa - both of which throw out over 5 to 6ft of growth every year, but once the flowers are dead, look ugly. Browned fern fronds are next on my radar.]

Meanwhile, how about another selection of some of the "newer" music that has caught my ear of late..?

Let's open with a number that's not new at all - in fact it was released in 1967! - but it appeared on the lovely Rylan's show on Radio 2, as he was in conversation with two of the stars of Strictly Come Dancing [where it has apparently been a regular dance choice; I dunno, I never watched the show in my life]. Having never (knowingly) heard it before, here it is! A slice of irrestistibly catchy cha-cha-cha:

Back to the present...

Our Glorious Leader Queen Madge has - out of the blue - released a cover of the song that made Patty Pravo [see here and here] a massive star in Italy (in support of a marketing campaign for D&G, it appears). Quite a departure for her, but beautifully done!

I only very recently stumbled across this one - and I rather like it!

A jolly enough number, from an ex-girlband member (Little Mix), with a rather odd video - what more do we need?

Yay! Another new choon from our favourite eccentrics du jour! Pain? What pain?

And finally, saving the best to last, it's another cracker from the eternally-sexy Mika!

Hello!

As ever, dear reader, let me know your thoughts...

Música nueva

And so here were are, officially in that "bit-in-the-middle" - and were off en famille to John-John's for an afternoon/evening of jolly japes and a "picky tea". Meanwhile, how about a little selection of some of the "newer" choons that have caught my ear of late?

I heard this on on the radio very recently, and I was hooked!

Here's another one from the "final fling" of Saint Etienne that I loved back in late summer, but neglected to feature up to now:

Twenty-five years on since it was a popular bootleg that Fatboy Slim used to use in his DJ sets, the Rolling Stones have finally given their blessing to the release of this remix/mash-up of two magnificent hits - and the result (even with its AI-generated video) is rather good:

I can absolutely, categorically state that my office party last week was nothing like this:

Yay! Robyn's back...

...as is the very lovely Robbie Williams!

And, finally...

...the campest of the lot [and another Madam Arcati discovery], this!

Thoughts of warmer weather are upon us as we speak - our next trip to Spain is just over a month away!

As ever, dear reader, I'm interested to hear your thoughts on the selection...

Just a part of modern times

We're well overdue methinks, dear reader, another little selection of some of the "newer" choons that have caught my ear of late - before everything turns to shit with the coming tsunami of Xmas cash-ins...

A fitting way to start is with something that couldn't be more diametrically opposed to tinsel, sleigh-bells, faux-jollity and mawkish sentimentality if it tried! Who would ever have thought that a legendary member of that most decadent of bands Velvet Underground and a contemporary pop-princess would ever have collaborated on something as utterly breath-taking, gothic and sinister as this?

Phew. I think we should break the mood, at least a little bit, with a poignant one - the Soft Cell cover of an old Giorgio Moroder choon, that turned out to be the very last single released before Dave Ball's premature death:

Speaking of 80s/90s troupers, this:

Now for something completely different! [This album's actually on my Amazon wish-list] Abba as you never heard them before:

The wonderful Mr Bill McClintock does it again!

And, saving the best till last - I LOVE THIS!

As ever, dear reader, let me know your thoughts...

Bang, bang, bang

It's a sunny, blustery, chilly autumnal day here in London - a bit of a change, after a burst of "Indian Summer" temperatures on Friday, and a mild (if showery) day yesterday - and Madam Arcati and I are off to the cinema to wallow in sumptuous grandeur courtesy of Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale this afternoon.

Meanwhile, I think a collection of some of the "newer" choons that have caught my ear of late is in order:

First up - the ever-wonderful Mael brothers show absolutely no sign of stopping their consistently brilliant musical output [fifty-one years' worth and counting!] - and their new one (featuring performer Self-Esteem, in the video at least) is as superb as ever:

Cranking the party up a notch, a couple of bangers - starting with a bit of a kinky one...

...followed by the return of an old club fave:

How about a mash-up? Yes please! Metallica never sounded so good:

Here's what happens when two fave bands collide:

And, finally, the current house faves de jour!

As ever dear reader, I'd love to know your thoughts...

Niet elke dag is er zonneschijn *

Still coming down to earth from our fab trip to Amsterdam, and today the weather has been "up and down like a whore's drawers" again, so although I managed to do a bit of pottering in the extensive gardens here at Dolores Delargo Towers, it now looks like a real storm is coming in, so that's that.

Time for a little selection of "newer" music that has caught my ear, methinks...

Let's open with something from an old fave group [who have sadly announced that they are calling it quits after 35 years together] - with a rather (ahem) appealing video:

Speaking of "old faves", here's a man who knows what he wants!

Another video that rather caught my eye... [Song's not bad, either.]

Now for something completely different - it's one of our [recently featured] Dutch Patron Saints, with a completely new face!

Another jolly one we "collected" on holiday in Amsterdam - with what else but a video dedicated to pizza(?):

From the ridiculous... to the utterly bonkers! I love this [somewhat reminiscent of Cyndi Lauper, which is no bad thing in my book]:

And, saving the best to last - this!

As ever, let me know your thoughts, dear reader...

Diggin(s) the choons!

Pioneering DJ Ron Diggins and his "Diggola" booth

After the excitement and spectacle of seeing Fantastic Four: First Steps in Leicester Square last night - an utterly brilliant movie, I cannot recommend it enough! - today's been a little more down-to-earth. The weather was warm, and the rain held off, so I took the opportunity to tackle a job that was well overdue [flowering finished back in June!] - cutting-back and training our splendid Rosa Veilchenblau (a rambler, albeit a usually well-behaved one, it was making "a bit of a break for it" with branches heading into next door's garden), and doing a bit of dead-heading and general tidying-up of other plants that have gone over.

Time, methinks, for another little selection of some of the "newer" choons that have caught my ear of late...

As is my wont, of course, first up is a song that isn't new at all - but since I heard it for the first time on the radio a few weeks ago, became a bit of an earworm:

Not one, but two legends on one record? Yes, please!

Filmed on the viewing platform on the 87th floor of London's massive Shard tower, here's a contender for "dance choon of the summer":

Speaking of "anthemic", this is a fantabulosa slice of tongue-in-cheek brilliance - I love it!

Here's an "independent girl" after our own heart - she knows how to keep her "safety gays" in order!

I always love something a bit retro-sounding:

Changing the mood ever so slightly - here's an utterly irresistible number:

And, saving the best for last - the 'Babes!

As ever, dear reader, let me know your thoughts...

Another pop potpurri

It's been a busy time here at Dolores Delargo Towers! Instead of, as one might have expected after a fun-packed holiday in Spain burning the candle at both ends (as is our wont), taking a bit of a breather and a wind-down - with the combination of a garden rocketing away before our eyes and needing to be sorted-out and the "party of the year" for Eurovision pending this weekend, there's been loads of work to do.

Today alone, while cleaning, I tackled an unwanted infestation of moths and their grubs that I found have half-eaten the carpet behind chairs in the bedroom and I built a new set of garden shelving that we hope will make a big difference in accommodating our rapidly-expanding collection of plants (all Spring I have been splitting and dividing overgrown specimens, which inevitably increases the volume, and (obviously) shopping for more - especially on my Easter jaunt to Essex). The Madam's been back at work, but still embarked on scrubbing-down the front room in anticipation of guests. Phew!

Time, methinks for a bit of a musical interlude, with some of the "newer" choons that have caught my ear of late [thanks, Mr DeVice for spurring me into actually finishing a draft blog idea I have had pootling around for ages]...

Let's open with a pleasant surprise! I have always had a soft spot for Dame Elton John, but when I found out that his newest choice of collaborator was a country'n'western artiste, I dreaded the outcome. I was entirely wrong - I love this! A real nod to his heyday:

A singer who never disappoints is Our Sophie - here's her brand new (and rather good) single:

The engimatic Ms Goldfrapp's new one's pretty catchy, too:

It's been a bit of a cavalcade of "welcome returns" in the past few months - not least for none other than the Mael brothers!

...and here's another:

At last! The hoo-ha about the reformation and return of the original trio of Sugababes has so far been a bit of a "damp squib" - however, this one has their full signature hit-making sound, so let's hope it becomes one:

Here's an oddity that I have been hanging on to for too long without sharing it here - it's an absolute work of genius!

And finally - saving the best for last, it's Our Princess!

Enjoy! And, as ever dear reader, let me know your thoughts...

PS

My post about the posthumous premiere of Stephen Sondheim's Here We Are, that we went to see the night before we flew to Spain, is over at the Dolores Delargo Towers Museum of Camp...

Classics Nouveau?

WTF?!

It's a gloomy Sunday, all dense cloud and chilly dankness. I only got out of bed around 3 o'clock, there being no light to awaken me.

Time for a selection of "newer" (and not-so new) choons that have caught my ear of late to brighten the horizon, methinks...

Let's open proceedings with our ever-reliable "house band", with their take on one of my all-time favourite songs, ever:

Speaking of "80s vibes" - there appears to be a wholesale revival of such sounds around at the moment. Not least with this one, which, if it were not for the demi-drag makeup and feathered hat, might well have been a Tears for Fears album track:

Taking us more down the path well-trodden by the likes of Bauhaus and their 80s Goth compatriots, this:

Next, a lady who has obviously listened to Depeche Mode's Violator album on repeat:

The wonderful Miss Kim Wilde [coincidentally just featured in Ms Scarlet's 2025 comeback] has delved back into the decade where she started, too! If Gary Numan wasn't involved here, someone's nicked his synthesisers...

[see also: Ms Scarlet's Wonky Words. Spooky coincidence.]

And, finally, a song that is actually from the 1980s [and one that was played on Gary Davies' Sounds of the 80s show on BBC Radio 2 just this week] that - much like my little "mixtape" I put together towards the end of last year - is one I have never previously played here, despite it being a favourite of mine for 37 years!

As ever, dear reader, I welcome your thoughts!

Year-end melangery

As we count down the days towards the "Party of the Year" to see 2024 out with a bang - how about a final melange this year of "newer" choons that have caught my ear of late?

Let's get this little "hangover" from the Festering Season out of the way first - probably the best Xmas song never destined to hit our airwaves...

Next up, everyone's favourite pop-twink Olly's back - with a choon rather reminiscent of Janet ("Miss Jackson" if you're nasty) methinks:

Also making a welcome return - old "house fave" electro-pop combo Parralox, with a cover that is a vast improvement on the Joe Jackson original, in my opinion:

Mummy! It's the scary lady from Eurovision!

Taking things down a notch, a rather sublime acapella medley from the midst of the "pandemic lockdown" era:

And finally, an old familiar choon - but with a rather inventive video mix. It's Quincy vs Sweet Charity!

As ever, dear reader, let me know your thoughts...

Have you heard..?

Gossip! [Street scene, Dundee, 1959 - Photo by Michael Peto]

I've often posted for your delectation, dear reader, a selection of "newer" tracks that have caught my ear. For a change today I thought I'd bring you a few older choons that I loved when they first came out - but have never featured here - that suddenly emerged from the mists of time over the past few months, on the radio or for some other reason...

This one, for example, popped up on the piped music system in Marks & Spencer (of all places)! It was one of those earworms that I and the team at my previous job used to sing along to as we were about to knock off for the day and head home (or, more likely, to the pub):

No idea where this one was played recently, but it's a classic. As I recall, we first heard it - and loved it - on one of our trips to Spain (probably 2006 when it was first released):

One that has been featured more than once by Rylan on BBC Radio 2 lately, it always sums up warm, sultry summer evenings - so it's perfect for the gloom of the first day of December, methinks!

Another one we have to thank Radio 2 for - this time the lovely Liza Tarbuck, methinks, as her playlist is the most eclectic under the sun. By sheer coincidence, Mr DeVice featured it in the finale of this year's Garden Photos Event, but here's the (very weird) video:

And finally, another "Tarbuck special", and one I utterly adore!

I had such a crush on Julian Cope! [Not so much now.]

As ever, folks - let me know your thoughts...

From Chesney's bum to a Cummerbund

The weather's turned very wintry, indeed. We had slushy snow yesterday morning, there was a frost overnight (-1C/29F), and we're not expecting any temperatures in double-figures (C) for a few days. Yuk.

To cheer ourselves up a bit, how about a little selection of some of the "newer" choons that have caught my ear of late?

How about we start with quite a surprise - the return of 1990s "one-hit wonder" Chesney Hawkes... with a decent song and a rather faboo "Saltburn-spoofing" video (with several flashes of his arse) to boot!

House favourites here at Dolores Delargo Towers Duran Duran are still going strong - even with a cover of an old ELO song, they still hit the spot!

[And at 6pm GMT, you can click here for the official premiere of the band on stage at Madison Square Gardens in New York performing this very song]

Now for something completely different - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart as you have probably never heard him before...

Speaking of updated versions of old classics, this:

Something that pricked my ears up, when I heard it on the radio the other day, turned out not to be new at all (in fact one commenter remarked it was "2019's best 80s song"), but it's new to me, so that's all that matters!

Another "hangover" from Hallowe'en - how about Alice Cooper vs Bruno Mars... vs Gene Wilder and his monster?! Genius:

[RIP, Teri Garr]

Leaving the best to last (as is my wont), Dame Sophie does it again [with a superb video, a "sequel" to her huge 2001 (and again in 2024 thanks to the aforementioned Saltburn) hit Murder On The Dancefloor, complete with the same judging panel, and filmed in the camp-as-tits Rivoli Ballroom]!

As ever, dear reader - let me know your thoughts...

Mix it up!

"A blustery day", said Pooh. The wind is bringing the bastard Sycamore* keys down like a blizzard upon the extensive gardens here at Dolores Delargo Towers today. I could weep at the encroaching blanket of evilness that's subsuming all our lovely plants...

Never mind, eh? How about a little selection of the "newer" music that has caught my ear of late to take our minds off it?

Let's kick off, shall we, with an "Elton John lookey-likey" throwing a tantrum? It's rather catchy, actually...

Take a bit of Kazaky, mix it with a touch of Trans-X Living On Video, add a bitch on heat, and what do you get? This!

Speaking of "on heat"... Call him slut? Call him whore? OK then, I will!

Bringing a bit of much-needed class into the proceedings after all that lascivious behaviour, something jazzy and joyful:

Something a bit mysterious from Austria:

And finally - saving the best for last, another absolute banger from Our Princess Kylie!!

As ever, let me know your thoughts, dear reader!

[*I just found out that in the You-Ess-Ay, "Sycamore" is used to describe what we know as Plane trees, and over there this benighted batard weed is referred to as "Sycamore Maple".

Sunshine and new choons

RIP, Phil "The Collector" Swern, BBC radio producer for six decades, the man behind Ken Bruce's "Popmaster" quiz, and famously the owner of every single that entered the charts since they began in 1952...

On this beautifully warm and sunny late summer day, it seems fitting, methinks, for a wallow in some of the "newer" music that has caught my ear of late...

Let's open proceedings with something suitably sunshiney, its video featuring gorgeous young things cavorting in some exotic location, in various states of undress:

[the song samples Ennio Morricone - Dance On from the film Così Come Sei (aka: Stay As You Are) (1978), in case you were wondering]

By complete contrast - a holiday road trip much closer to home, to accompany another classic-in-the-making from one of our favourite bands:

Here's a faboo discovery - weird, indeed:

Next, the return of not just one, but two house favourites!

This track apparently took four years to get finished! It's good, but what took so long?

To conclude, saving the best to last - when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object, this happens. Love it!

As ever, I welcome your thoughts, dear reader...
