Do it!

Almost there. The weekend is in sight - and it looks like the bitter cold of the past week is about to give way to more usual British weather, rain.

Hey ho.

Only recently, on hearing this song on the radio, I thought to myself "You just don't get people playing the flute in dance music any more!"

So let's redress that balance and remind them what they're missing, shall we, with a classic?

Thank Disco It's Friday!

Have a faboo weekend, dear reader!

Hustlers, the lot of 'em!

I could sit and watch this all day...

It has been a long time coming, but today is my last day in work for a fortnight, and I am sooo looking forward to knocking-off at 4pm!

Our trip to Amsterdam may have been cancelled, as has the picnic our gang had planned for Regent's Park tomorrow (as the weather is more like October than July again out there), but there's always room for a party here at Dolores Delargo Towers!

There's no cooler way to launch the festivities than with a bit of Van McCoy, so let's "DO IT" - and Thank Disco It's Friday!

Have a faboo weekend, folks!

Ah, un poquito más

What a blessed relief. That most difficult of weeks - the first back in the office after the lengthy break for "The Festering Season" - is almost over...

Our plans to move out and away from those "Demon Spawn" upstairs has begun in earnest, with two flat viewings tomorrow. However, there's still time for a party!

So welcome to the stand, dear reader, tomorrow's birthday boy the late, great Van McCoy - in the company of some rather frenetic "tropical" dancers in this vid - and let's all do the Soul Cha Cha, and Thank Disco It's Friday!

Van the Man

Ah, the end of the first week back is nigh... Our gang is off en masse to our first show of the season tonight, and one I have been looking forward to seeing live for many years - the fantabulosa Fascinating Aida!

In the meantime, let us prepare for our weekend with a bit of a boogie to Van McCoy's "other hit", The Shuffle! However, for a change, I would not necessarily recommend dressing up in the "fanny pelmet and shower curtain" ensemble that Legs & Co are sporting here...

Had he not been taken from us far too soon, Van McCoy would have been 72 years old today.

It's Hustle time!

At last, another week in work draws to a close - and all the forecasts point to the most welcome return of that elusive thing during June, the sun!! Yay - let's hope this bodes well for Gay Xmas (Pride) a week tomorrow...

Meanwhile, have a little root around in the back of your wardrobe, don your tightest flares, and start practising some of these moves - Do The Hustle!

Thank Disco It's Friday - and have a great weekend!
