No expression, no expression

This is more-or-less how I've felt all weekend.

It's been a very lazy couple of days here at Dolores Delargo Towers - a chance to catch up on some much-needed rest after what has been a hectic few weeks.

In keeping with the mood, here's rather sumptuous number from our "house band":

Their performance is sublime, but that clown is rather sinister...

Totally bunted!

Yes - the bunting's up at Dolores Delargo Towers in readiness for the Coronation [although the Madam is actually working on Saturday, so I'll need to record it and we'll watch it on Sunday or Monday, and the concert (with a finger on the fast-forward button) sometime in the week], so let's play another vaguely appropriate number to celebrate, shall we?

Gulp. That song is 38 years old - released in the year that Keira Knightley, Bruno Mars, Lewis Hamilton, Cristiano Ronaldo, Lily Allen, Joe Wicks and Lana Del Rey were all born...

It's a new dawn, it's a new day

I'm off tonight to a tenth anniversary party for two dear friends Joe and Russ. To help me get into the swing of things, how about a clutch of "newer" choons that have caught my ear of late?

First up "the biggie"... This was only released on Friday morning, and has already clocked up 35 million views on YouTube!

By way of complete contrast, let's cheer ourselves up after all that impassioned angst - with a trip to a Disco that happens to be Purple:

Look out, world - Queen Madge is back!

Speaking of stroppy divas - one wonders how the divine former Eunice Kathleen Waymon might have greeted this ramped-up version of one of her biggest hits?

Heavens! I only mentioned them the other day - and now Gandalf and Gollum Tears for Fears are back, with their first new music for twenty years:

Ms Petras is in an apocalyptic mood, it seems...

...while the Nervo girls are feeling "arty":

And finally...

...what happens when Princesses collide?! This:

As ever, dear reader, let me know what you think...

Thought for the day

A song that seems appropriate, from Tears for Fears:

"Hide my head I want to drown my sorrow."

Mad world, indeed.
