Make it come all the way down

Among a huge raft of ill-assorted fellow celebrants on this "Gay Xmas Eve" [a very special one - not just the first one in three years, but also the 50th anniversary of the first official Pride March], including Princess Diana, Our Patron Saint Debbie Harry, Estée Lauder, Karen Black, Charles Laughton, Olivia de Havilland, Dave "Darth Vader" Prowse, Jeff Wayne, Trevor Eve, William Wyler, Pamela Anderson [55 today], George Sand, Scotty Bowers, Carl Lewis, Dan Aykroyd [who is 70], Farley Granger, Geneviève Bujold [she's 80], Jean Marsh, Leslie Caron, Amy Johnson, Liv Tyler, Louis Blériot and Missy Elliott...

...it's the faboo Miss Evelyn "Champagne" King's birthday!

To mark the occasion, a classic to get the party started - and Thank Disco It's Friday!

Roll on the festivities tomorrow!

Champagne!

Yesterday was gruelling - up at 4.30am for a 6am start, I worked for sixteen hours as poll clerk for the referendum vote at one of Islington's schools. We experienced no major rush to the polls (voting on whether to have an alternative voting system is a dull and almost unfathomable subject for most people!), but we had a constant trickle of voters all day.

But let us forget about such pedestrian things. I have a day off to recover, and of course to indulge in some more boogieing madness. We are also off to see the long-awaited play Bette and Joan (featuring Greta Scacchi and Anita Dobson) tonight, courtesy of our friend Russ who got us preview seats! Yay!

So without further ado, with the aid of that classic diva of dance Miss Evelyn ("Champagne") King let us rejoice the end of another week - Thank Disco It's Friday!

Enjoy!
