    1. I wasn't there - but was utterly amazed at how many people crowded into that area to pay respects. Jx

    1. Me too. The fact that the Mayor (our city's first Muslim in the post) as well as the US Ambassador and the Leader of the Opposition were there in the middle of the crowd was particularly poignant. Vigils happened all over the UK - apparently in Manchester so many people turned up that rather than a single line of linked arms, they were able to link all the way around the "Gay Village" and back again... Jx
