Curves in all the right places

As the baton of ludicrous frippery and razzmatazz that is Fashion Week once more passes to London, so another interesting initiative launched last night - the very first British Plus-Size Fashion Weekend!

Surprisingly, the British average size for women is 14-plus, yet it does seem that the majority of models at the mainstream fashion shows are skinny waifs, so - even as a publicity stunt - I believe this new event may have a future...

Now, if only someone would come up with some men's fashion shows with clothes that will actually look OK on a slightly flabby queen d'un certain age...
