Only Gold
Proving that even at the age of 76 there are very few pairs of lungs to match hers, our glittering Patron Saint Dame Shirley Bassey belted out her trademark Goldfinger as part of last night's Oscars tribute to 50 years of James Bond.
Wow... No wonder she received a standing ovation.

I didn't watch (I never do), but I am glad that Miss Bassey was there to show bloody Adele how you do a Bond song (or any song, for that matter!)
ReplyDeleteOur Shirley looks stunning!
I never watch it either (nor any of the awards ceremonies) - excruciating (besides, the red carpet only begins at midnight on a Sunday, so unless you take a day off on Monday how could anyone stay up to see it?).
DeleteHowever, Dame Shirl provided a rare highlight that I had to share. Jx
she made me cry, she was tremendous.
ReplyDeleteWhoever thought you were such a softy, Miss Desmond? Jx
DeleteA pro and a star.
ReplyDeleteWhich is more than can be said for much of the show itself.
I, of course, could not possibly comment. Jx
