Cheerful pansies in our window box brighten up any day
Frost. Freezing fog. Dank air. Yuk.
Thank heavens for the marvellous
Soft Tempo Lounge! Providing a much-needed "light music moment" as they whisk us off to exotic climes - it's
You and I...
Ah, that's better.

Pansies???? Already??? My garden is a mud bath :-)

They've been blooming for months (in the window box) - and have stubbornly resisted everything the frost can throw at them! Jx
DeleteI have a few violas dotted around the place, but not enough to distract from the bleak swathes of muddy borders, and swamp-like lawn. There is a lone geranium still putting out pale pink flowers, but I fear it will soon be mush.
ReplyDeleteYour pansy (is it just the one, dear?) is like a small sun!
We have two window boxes - one with these great gaudy yellow ones, and the other with the delicate Viola "Morpho" in full bloom. Just about everything else (apart from the bulbs: two snowdrops in flower and one daff so far with a bud) looks like boiled spinach or else brown and crispy. We do have a couple of pelargoniums tucked away, still alive and throwing out the occasional flower, but they look a bit worse for wear. Jx
Deleteif you look in my windows, you too will see cheerful pansies.
ReplyDelete...chained to radiators? Jx
DeleteI was enjoying the mellow moments of the Soft Tempo Lounge until the bull fight.
ReplyDeleteAnd now I need cheerful pansies to make me feel better.
DeleteAnd not even a sexy matador in sight. Jx
