A headstrong girl

Carrying on the Pride countdown today, we celebrate the birthday of another gay icon - Miss Róisín Murphy, house fave here at Dolores Delargo Towers!

Miss Murphy, after her initial success with Moloko, struck out on a solo career typified by her unique love of dressing-up - her costumes and credo of "life as an art-form" were subsequently systematically nicked by that kleptomaniac GaGa - and among the great choons she produced was this fabulous number (and great video!), Movie Star:

A typical night out.

    1. She's been working with David Morales lately, but not sure what is happening about a new album. Too busy having babies, I expect (rumour has it she's expecting a second)... Jx

  2. She really should come back to the pop world. Love her last album and subsequent singles from that album. The video above is priceless. Who doesn't make out with giant lobsters in a scene these days, hehe

  3. Love her and Overpowered! They keep pushing back the release date for the new album, it's been years now! She should have released two or three more by now!
