I really cannot believe that my life-long crush Mr Michael York is 70 years old!
Time's a terrible thing...
Here is a lovely (if brief) tribute to his finest role - as "Brian" in my favourite film Cabaret:

Be still, my foolish heart!

DeleteIs there a difference?
Delete70???? Oh wow...
ReplyDeleteI adore Cabaret too - mostly for Miss Minelli, Mr Grey and of course the music! I think Cabaret is the only film I ever saw Michael in, and he was very good in it.
Truly a fantastic film, so I will forgive Liza for snapping up the Oscar from Diana Ross for her role in Lady Sings The Blues.
If you've never seen another film with the gorgeous Mr York, I would highly recommend "Something for Everyone" (also starring Angela Lansbury!) - check the link to my earlier post. Unfortunately it has never received a DVD release, so all that's out there is VHS copies. Or there's always "Logan's Run" (which is not very good, but Michael is in lycra a lot, and it does also star Jenny Agutter and Farrah Fawcett-Majors...) Jx
DeletePS But yes, it is "Cabaret" that did it for me...
