From The BBC:
"In spring this year my life changed massively when I met someone, and they make me feel so happy, so safe and everything just feels great.Open season...
"That someone is a guy."
Daley, from Plymouth in Devon, was recently named the "world's sexiest man" by a magazine and is presenting a second series of dive show Splash.
Daley said: "It did take me by surprise a little bit. It was always in my head that something like that could happen.
"But it wasn't until spring this year that things just clicked. It felt right and I thought 'Okay'.
"And my whole world changed there and then."
He wasn't out already??? Anyways, good for him (and you, apparently) ;)
ReplyDeleteI wish... Jx
DeleteBTW, he seems like a very nice guy - but the "of course I still fancy girls" comment seems a bit weird - still a little confused, I guess?

He has a calendar to shift to all those teenage girls. He probably needs to keep them hanging on and buying merchandise until the New Year. Jx
Deletehe hasn't used any labels to define himself, so I don't think we should either.
ReplyDeleteThere have been lots of comments of "We All Knew" but I still think it takes guts to be opening about dating another man, especially with so many ignorant trolls on the internet : I'm sure today hasn't all been plain sailing for him, even among his own extended family.
While his (supposed) gayness was hardly a secret, I agree: he did a brave thing and like he said in the video, he´s been getting mixed reactions from those closest to him. Lots of news articles about him do indeed label him as gay today, but like Tony says he did not use any labels himself in the video.
ReplyDeleteIn any case, he seems happy and that's all that should matter. Best of luck to him and his man!
Ah yes - "The Love that Dare not Speak its Name”
