If you give it a chance, it can make you dance

The fuchsias, dahlia, ipomoea, asarina and salvias are in their element in autumn, despite the weather.

It's been a bit of a bleak and stormy weekend here at Dolores Delargo Towers, and the sun has only just peeped out under the gloom (in time to set again)...

To top it all, today is the Autumnal Equinox, and the balance between day and night tips over from here on in. Darkness is looming.

Regardless, ever the forward-planning gardener, I've been busy ripping out tattered and distinctly "spent" annuals from their pots and potting-up violas and bulbs for Spring in their place.

And, to add to the uplifting mood... some new videos by treasured artists.

First up, the Grattan catalogue-inspired vid for Cher's almighty Abba tribute:

The ever-wonderful Miss Murphy gets down and dirty at the discotheque:

And finally, the lovely Rick's latest is a regular fixture on the playlist at Radio 2. And also, in my head...

  1. I was a bit dreary here today too, but I didn't a day to relax before, well, tomorrow back to work. UGH!!! Your gardens are very beautiful much care and love. And on a side note, I would totally let Mr Astley bang me. Shocked right?

    1. "Your heart's been aching, but
You're too shy to say it"

PS Work is ugh! Bring on the Lottery.

  2. Loving that Cher remake. So much feeling!

  3. The Agnetha looky-likey threw me for a bit. I thought Cher had managed to coax her into the video.
Nice to see/hear than Rick Astley has still got it (and would get it too, if Maddie gets her way!). Although, where is that big, booming voice? He used to be like the Brian Blessed of pop!

P.S. Your back passage looks delightful, Jon!

    1. I had a few "God-is-that-Abba?" moments, too, when I first saw it.

I can vouch for the fact that Mr Astley has no problem dropping an octave (no idea about his pants, but I am sure Maddie's on her way to the UK to find out) - he was particularly booming when we saw him at Proms in the Park in 2016. Jx
