Come on, meet me on the dancefloor

Another sunny day, another day in the extensive gardens here at Dolores Delargo Towers, trying to drown out the demon children next door and their sodding karaoke machine with blasts of Sounds of the Seventies while pottering and making things lovely...

Meanwhile, Queen Madge continues her latest comeback - she appeared on stage with Sabrina Carpenter at Coachella Festival last night, and the full-length version of I Feel So Free has been released!

I love it!

  1. Ack - I can’t listen right now - I’m sure it’s fab? I will listen in the morning.

    1. Good luck with that - it's hardly what I'd call a "morning choon"... Jx

  2. Oh, I don't know what to make of it? I like the music, but dislike the breathy vocals, but like the build up to around the 3 min mark, but don't like the spoken lyrics that much (not that I was really listening to what was being said), but do like the actual singing bits, but don't like the "Oh. By the way. It all started like this" as it sounds out of place, but do like the last 45 secs or so.
I listened to it twice just to be sure.

    1. Apparently the spoken word bits are taken from an interview she did a few years back, and I guess they sort of wrote a song around that. I know what you mean about its ups and downs, but I think it kind of works - basically it sounds more "Madonna-esque" than some of her stuff from the Madame X era, and I like that... Jx

  3. I’ll stick with the naked guy in the garden.

    1. A naked man in the garden would be fabulous. Probably not that one. Jx

  4. I tried. Nope! Turned her off at about a minute. (She probably wouldn't like what I like so we're = )And as for the man in the garden...I think his footwear rates with MJ's crocs!

  5. I understand what Mr De says about the spoken lyrics but I absolutely loved this from first hearing. Madge is the queen of every f@cking thing.

  6. It's definitely a dance floor tune!!! One of my fav Madonna tracks is Hung Up, and I still much prefer it to this new track!

    1. It's never wise to make comparisons between old and new output from artist with a massive back-catalogue like Madge's. Bowie's 1990s stuff suffered badly in comparison with his 70s/80s classics, many people hated "late Beatles" music because it was so very different to where they started, and so on... As a new choon, I think it stands up for itself. Jx

  7. Wow.
I have just come back to it after a week and as soon as it starts with the spoken word I know what is coming and I am in the up and ready for it. I now love all of it. This track is awesome.
Nobody is going to out cool Madonna.
