But what kind of holiday is this?*

The weekend's almost upon us, the sun is blazing (it's 29C/85F, and likely to get even hotter next week!)...

...and it would have been our Patron Saint of Terrifying Head-Flicks Signorina Raffaella Carrà's birthday today!

Sufficent excuse (if any were needed) to revisit this - as La Carrà and her impossibly-tight-trousered safety gays show us how to party. Thank Disco Raffaella It's Friday!

Have a great weekend, dear reader...

[Ma che vacanza é = "But what kind of holiday is this?" in Italian]

FOOTNOTE:

I'm taking bets on how long today's post will take to arrive in the Blogger Reading List... Wednesday's and yesterday's both arrived together on the dot at 9am - that's more than 36 hours for the former, and 19 hours for the latter! Someone needs a good kick up the arse at Google HQ.

  1. You know i love me A LOT of Raffaella Carra!!!!

And this blogger lag is getting ridiculous and longer periods of times. This post still hasn't shown up in my reader. The last post I have from this blog was from Monday. I've been going through my blog roll instead but I'm still in the habit of following the Blogger reader as it was convenient, but this is getting to be annoying. Non bloggers who don't have blogs but just read our blogs are all thinking that we are not blogging.

    1. I'm not sure what is going on with blogger though. Over the weekend on Sunday evening I went to my blog only to find my whole entire sidebar had been moved to the bottom of the blog, and not only that but everything in the Side Bar was in different positions. I have never had that happen before and that took a while to figure out what the problem was. I've also noticed as we gain more followers that number doesn't change either. For example, on my blog it might say I have 400 followers but when you're on your dashboard and look at your followers it says I have 480. I don't know if they've just giving up on Blogger with no more updates or maintenance but it seems to be getting worse..

It's about enough to make a sick another drink isn't it?

    2. To coin a phrase, it's a complete crock of shit! Why even offer a blog feed at all, if it's going to be so utterly glitchy that different people get to see posts at different times? You're probably right about the Google Gnomes not caring about Blogger; they're too busy working out new ways to ruin people's lives with A.I. yet make shedloads of money out of the wreckage.

The formatting problem you had was more than likely to do with broken code. I edit my blogs using the HTML view not the "WYSIWYG" one, and I have had similar issues before - if you open a set of code with a command in <> brackets, you must remember to close it 🫢...

I don 't need the fuckups at Blogger to make me sink another drink dear!
      Clink, clink, sweetie. Jx
