Jukebox Jive
Despite the blustery wind today - empty pots a-flying, rickety fence bending, a decapitated hyacinth and all - I've been keeping myself busy again in the extensive gardens here at Dolores Delargo Towers, potting on seedlings and digging out troughs full of old soil, ready to fill with some of the host of fuchsias we collected last year.
It's time to relax with some "proper Sunday music", methinks. What better than another session by the magnificent artistes of Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox?
They are utterly fab-u-lous!

I do love me a lovely fuchsia bloom...so delicate and chic. And what's not to enjoy about the sound of the given clips? Maybe my afternoon relaxing while pursuing blogs.
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed them, dear! And just planning the new "homes" for the fuchsias does conjure up the glory days of late summer, when they work their magic... Jx
Deletei took a lovely walk, listened to a delightful podcast & helped a neighbor load plaster casts into & out other car. none of that matters though, it's "big little lies" & "feud" night!
ReplyDeleteI am as much intrigued by the fact you were loading plaster casts (plural) into a car - how many broken legs are there in your neighbourhood? - as I was confused by your reference to ""big little lies" & "feud" night". Until I realised you were talking about telly. Jx
Deleteneighbor is an artist (i did not know this). seems a house had a couple hundred plaster molds. flippers bought the house & will re-do it. they advertised on craigslist looking for someone to take them all & neighbor obliged. seems they're all sorts of "chachkahs" and she's not even sure what will be good. she explained to me how one pours liquid clay into them, cook's 'em in a kiln, etc. most of these things have 2 halves so as we shlepped we had no idea what each was. yes, she is in her garage going thru all that stuff while i'm about to get comfy in front of the telly.
Delete"Neighbours. Everybody needs good neighbours."
DeleteIf she's daft enough to take them, then let her sort them I'd say...
