Hail, Knight of the Woeful Countenance!
ReplyDeleteSir Idris looks fairly cheerful to me! 😎 Jx
DeleteSir Idris. Oh sigh. Yes, sir!
DeleteI wouldn't mind seeing him arise... Jx
DeleteNow then, lads...give us ladies a chance!
DeleteHe is, unfortunately for us, straight - and married - but we can dream... Jx
DeleteAnd I have the feeling if Sir Idris arose, it might take several minutes till it was "all up".
DeleteImagine... Jx
DeleteOh man. Now I have THAT image in my head. Well, maybe I wish?
DeleteWe all do... Jx
DeleteMy, that was a long list.
ReplyDeleteIt's still beyond me why your fabulous self and the Madam have not made the Honors list yet. Don't hey recognize swanky, camp and classy inspirations when they see it?
Our Damehoods must have been lost in the post. Again! Jx
DeleteDame Jane Torvill and Sir Christopher Dean! I will never tire of seeing their "Bolero" routine - watching it now, I was transfixed (yet again), and succumbed to goosepimples several times throughout. By the end, I was breathless and even felt a bit sick with the relentless anticipation of wondering if it would be perfect (again) even though this is a decades old recording!
ReplyDeleteYep - that performance was FORTY-TWO years ago this year! Gulp. Time flies... Jx
DeletePS You have, of course, seen Our Lil's version with Bob Downe? - see here.
But, of course. And thanks to you, I've just given those videos another watch and had a good laugh!
Delete(I note that I didn't comment back then - I think I was on holiday, but I'm sure I saw/read it during a catch-up once I was back.)
I forgive you dear - but which part did you act out? Bob or Lily? Jx
DeleteA wonderful list of the Great and the Good but yes, where are ours.
ReplyDeleteThere's always the Birthday Honours list... Jx
