The weekend hoves into view at last!
The weather may be persistently grey, blustery and forecast for more showers - but here's something suitably uplifting to get us in a party mood...
So whip on your best flouncy pink satin jumpsuit, sing along with Gonzalez - and Thank Disco It's Friday!
Have a fab one, dear reader!
I couldn't agree more My Gin Blossom I'll drink to that! Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes that's all your comment at Mitchell's. My rear is still acting fussy. Everyday it seems different blogs are not updating, there seems to be no consistency. But for some reason yours and two other blogs I read are still lagging behind a day or two.. it's getting to be a pain in the ass. And it seems all across the board it's affecting visits and commenting.
I touch wood - the past few posts have turned up OK in the Reading List... Jx
DeletePS Happy Friday, indeed - clink, clink, sweetie! Jx
DeleteI think I might go with a flouncy lavender jumpsuit but I’d like to keep dancing. Was Gonzalez a one-hit wonder?
ReplyDeleteI need photographic evidence of you in that jumpsuit!
DeleteGonzalez Haven't Stopped Dancing Yet was indeed very much a one-hit-wonder; the band never had any other chart hits.
Interesting factoid: the song was written and produced by none other than Gloria Jones, Marc Bolan's widow and mother of their child, most famous for her popular Northern Soul hit Tainted Love - which was famously covered later by Soft Cell, and the rest is history! Jx
I will be wearing my pink flouncy jumpsuit beneath a raincoat and with wellies! It certainly looks grim this weekend. Have a good one despite the wind and rain!

Yes, the weather here today would not be conducive to swanning around in satin - drizzly showers and blustery winds. Forecast looks better for London tomorrow, though! Jx
DeleteLove it.
ReplyDeleteBring back the disco whistle I say !
Amen! And the bongos. Any music is better with bongos! Jx
