DeleteAh, bless’im! I had a picture of him before he was proper famous - I wish I still had it. He did an interview for Over 21 magazine as plain George O’Dowd [not so plain even then!] - I think it was in relation to fashion - or how people reacted to his look - either way he ended up on my bedroom wall.

He was the "hat-check girl" at Blitz Club way back when, and known as "Lieutenant Lush" - before "The Boy" became the "tabloid star" and eventually "the megastar". As the song says "he was there"! Jx
