Totty of the Day

Three surprises I found out today, after being intrigued to see the name "Charlie Hunnam" on a poster on the side of a bus:
  1. Mr Hunnam actually had a career after playing "Nathan" - being rimmed by Aidan Gillen ("Stuart") - in Queer As Folk (the original, and best, Channel 4 series, written by Russell T Davies).
  2. The film for which his name appears above the title on the poster on the Route 29 from Wood Green to Trafalgar Square is (ironically) called Pacific Rim - and it's not porn...
  3. He's straight!

The heterosexual Mr Hunnam appears to have found his niche in America, and, despite misguidedly adopting the "grungy/beardy" look in far too many photos I have seen, is still rather cute...

Here's how I remember him, however:

  1. I recently saw Pacific Rim and quite enjoyed it. Charlie looked rather cute in it, but his acting abilities seemed rather, erm, limited. Still, a fun blockbuster film - and he has a nice body!

    1. I don't think anyone would hire Mr Hunnam for his proficiency in the acting department, but the perpetual association with the word "rim" keeps me interested... Jx

  2. Sadly, I am here to tell you that you will not see him doing anything even remotely associated with that word in the film (well, at least not in the sense your dirty little mind thinks) ;)

He might have been much better in the film if he hadn't been trying so hard to hide his accent. Either way, this was one of the rare occasions these days where I had a great time at the movies.
