It's such a lovely feeling

Darlings! It's Lulu's birthday!

What better way to ease our safe passage back into work on this Tacky Music Monday than with the "Glasgow Belter"'s 1969 Eurovision Song Contest-winner?

Works for me...

Have a good one!

Lulu (Kennedy-Cairns, OBE, born Marie McDonald McLaughlin Lawrie, 3rd November 1948)

  1. My party piece is a Lulu impersonation... I can silence a room in 10 seconds.
    Happy Birthday, Lulu!

  2. I want to hear Ms Scarlet's impression of the lovely Lu Lu too.
I have loved Lu Lu since as long as I can remember.
Happy birthday Marie McDonald McLaughlin Lawrie.
and go for it Ms Scarlet.
The world awaits ! Sheridan Smith did a fab job with Cilla, I think we should contact the BBC with an idea for a new biopic drama.

    1. But who would play her (Lulu, I mean, not Ms Scarlet)... Jx

    2. I need to be plied with a couple of bottles of Jack Daniels, and then you'd be pleading for me to stop.
I reckon Sheridan Smith could also do Lulu... Ms Smith seems to be remarkably versatile... and seemed to sing better than Cilla!

    3. Interesting thought - and why stop there, when we are overdue dramas on the lives of Sandie Shaw, Anita Harris, Clodagh Rogers or Susan Maughan? Jx

    1. She was a fixture in many people's lives around the end of the 60s and early 70s - good to hear she was in yours, too! Jx
