To live so pleasantly

The sun is (finally) shining, and we're getting ourselves in order for the marathon Proms in the Park extravaganza today - with appearances from Gilbert O'Sullivan, Elaine Paige, Sir Bryn Terfel, Texas, the cast of Five Guys Named Moe, Steps...

...and Sir Ray Davies of the Kinks!

There is, of course, only one song I could play to get us ready for spending seven hours in Hyde Park...

And I love to live so pleasantly
Live this life of luxury
Lazing on a sunny afternoon
In the summertime
In the summertime
In the summertime

Not quite "summertime", but fingers crossed it'll stay fine all day!

  2. Steps were there?!? Fabulous!

Overstrand tried something similar last night, but it wasn't quite the same... The Blondie tribute sounded pretty good though (keep in mind that I was at home at the other end of the High Street).

    1. We rehearsed all the moves, dear! As for the Blondie tribute band - the real thing is playing in Hyde Park today. Shame we can't be there, but two long days in the open (autumnal) air would be a bit extreme (not to mention expensive). Jx
