Today I've been trying to sort stuff in the extensive gardens here at Dolores Delargo Towers - emptying and washing the bigger pots, replanting and moving stuff on, and laying down layers of grit on the tops of some of our planters to stop the bastard squrrels and foxes from digging them up - all the while battling the 40-mile-an-hour winds of "Storm Gareth" [oh, how childish it is that the Met Office feels the need to give storms a name these days].
Once the weather really got bad, I was indoors listening to Radio 2, and...

Steps had a comeback? I thought they all spat at the mention of the other's names and demanded separate rehabs facilities. Amazing they still manage to "dance" without moving their feet.

DeleteAh, Steps couldn't be more Steps with this one! They've still got it (or, had it - are they still on the scene two years later?) - especially Lee! I think it's his lacksadaisical, half-arsed performance which borders on the arrogant that sucks me in. Plus, he gets his top off. Again.
ReplyDeleteTheir comeback was a success (album-wise) but I'm not sure what they are up to as a group, two years on - Claire's got a new solo album out, Faye's just joined the West End cast of Everybody's Talking About Jamie, "H" is going through a messy "divorce", Lisa's running a kids' dance troupe in Dubai(!), and as for Lee - he's probably still got his top off, somewhere... Jx

ReplyDeleteThe "record"-buying public has no taste these days. Just look at what laughingly passes for "the charts" these days, and you'll find absolutely nothing resembling fun - nor in fact anything resembling music - there. Jx
