A view up my soggy back passage
This weekend's been a bit of a washout so far - gloomy, humid and we've had some torrential downpours! Shame. I had a few jobs lined up for the garden today. Hopefully it may brighten up later so I can tackle them...
Never mind, let's instead wallow in some appropriate "Sunday Music", courtesy of our "house band" here at Dolores Delargo Towers:
Lovely.
We adore Postmodern Jukebox!
I’m going to call it a garden today. You really have created paradise back there.
ReplyDeleteIt's quite the jungle at this time of year! Jx
DeleteA view up your back passage - lush & soggy as it is - is always a glimpse of paradise!
ReplyDeleteWe try our best, dear, to keep my back passage looking lush. Jx
DeleteGorgeous, sweetpea! As I was reading about your dreadful weather conditions, the MITM opened the breakfast room blinds and it is absolutely dismal looking outside! It's been so hot and sunny this past few weeks that this coolness is almost welcome! xoxo (Love the music! PMJ is super!)
ReplyDeleteIt's been up and down all week - much more typical weather for the UK - so our heatwaves are a bit of a distant memory now...
DeletePMJ is such a great combo - and Mr Bradlee always gets the most top-notch vocalists on board! Catch 'em if you can - they're coming to your neck of the woods at the end of August/early September! Jx
I have had to move many of my pots under the roofline or into the pooting shed in fear of losing them. We've had so much rain this week, it's past soggy, more swamp like. Many things are yellowing from to much moisture.
ReplyDeleteNever been a fan of that song...till now.
Getting the balance of drainage vs watering right when gardening in pots is an art in itself.
DeletePostmodern Jukebox can make just about any song sound good! [I even posted their cover of a fucking GaGa number, as you will recall...] Jx
Tawana dans la tradition spéciale de Billie Holiday et Sarah Vaughan :)
ReplyDelete* d’Anjou
She's certainly a good modern interpreter of that style... Jx
DeletePostmodern Jukebox; Perfect for a wet gloomy weekend
ReplyDeleteand perfect for a sunny one !
Perfect.
Indeed they are! Jx
DeleteObviously we have had rain in Devon! I'm now back in my vest, jumper, and raincoat.
ReplyDeleteYour back passage is probably grateful for the wet attention.
Sx
It's certainly not cold here, just moist.
DeleteThe rain helps a lot with the garden, but as everything's in pots (and there's a lot of foliage), it doesn't always water things completely... Jx
