Another busy - and very hot - week is almost over, and we need to get our party gear on sharpish, for (unforgivably), we missed Our Princess Kylie's birthday yesterday!
I'll send a belated gift. She won't mind. She's busy basking in her new-found adoration courtesy of that Netflix mini-series [which we'll probably never see unless it hits terrestrial TV at any time in the future]...
Obviously we'll let the lady herself get the party started in the most pertinent manner, with this guaranteed-to-get-you-moving classic - and Thank Disco It's Friday!
Many happy returns, Kylie Ann Minogue (born 28th May 1968).
Have a great weekend, dear reader!
Well we had a beautiful week but we're not as hot as you are thank heavens yet . Meanwhile I am glad it's the end of the week. I thought I would pop in since your blog and two others still are not updating in my reader. I myself am getting ready to go away for the weekend to go see an exhibit at a museum in Baltimore. Of course we'll take in a pub or six while we're there.
ReplyDeleteThat's strange - for the last couple of days, I thought it had all been fixed, as my posts appeared as normal not long after publishing them. Maybe the bloody Google gnomes have buggered off to the beach as well?!
DeleteEnjoy your weekend of "culture with a capital K"... 😎 Jx
We have some sunshine, but nothing like you poor sods have been through!
ReplyDeleteThere has been so much hysteria about this hot weather, it's getting ridiculous! Yes, it was very hot for May, and yes, the humidity has been oppressive at times, and yes, the garden has needed a lot of watering - but this isn't exactly apocalyptic, and, at times has been rather fab!
DeleteIt makes a change from the usual disappointing mizzle, which is what's forecast for next week... Jx
My house is south facing with big windows - it's been challenging!! Plus, I haven't been able to go for walks at my usual times - too hot for both man and dog. BUT, the heat was a welcome break from the cold mizzling weather we had the week prior!

Oh yes, the week after we went to Spain was far worse than any heatwave. Having to put the heating on in May is just ridiculous. Jx
