Jungle Jane
Oh, yuk. Another weekend is gone too soon - a shopping trip to manic Camden Market, a fab party for Jim, a day of recuperation after a 4.30am finish, and boom! Back to work...
Never mind, on this Tacky Music Monday we have a most surprising turn from yesterday's birthday girl, the Hollywood star who specialised in weepies and melodrama (before her late resurrection as super-bitch Angela Channing in Falcon Crest, of course) Miss Jane Wyman - vamping it up on I Long for Love the Jungle Way!
Grrr...
Jane Wyman (born Sarah Jane Mayfield, 5th January 1917 – 10th September 2007)
Have a good week, folks!

Wow! Who knew? I suppose it's not her voice, but she still sells that number - and a fab Jean Louis gown to boot.
ReplyDeleteAnd who's the distinguished, disapproving matron given pride of place at Jane's right in the still above? Why, it's none other than that hardest working woman in show business, the Queen of the Dress Extras, Miss Bess Flowers! I do love a Bess sighting...
It may well be her - she began her career as a radio singer, and was called upon to duet with Bing on occasion. Whatever, I do agree that this number certainly shows off her talents...
DeleteGlad to be of assitance with your "Bess Flowers Spotters' Handbook".
