Des fleurs de ton jardin

Unlikely though it may seem, given the fact the the UK has looked more like Narnia lately than a "green and pleasant land", today is the Spring Equinox, referred to by some people as "the first day of Spring". Brrr.

At least we can now bask in the knowledge that from tomorrow onwards, our days are officially longer than our nights, and it will soon be Summer!

To hurry those dreams along, how about a little something from today's birthday girl (and house fave here at Dolores Delargo Towers), the lovely Miss Natacha Atlas?

Pourtant j’étais très belle
Oui j’étais la plus belle
Des fleurs de ton jardin

On est bien peu de chose
Et mon amie la rose

Roses? Soon...

  1. Spring has sprung on the North Norfolk coast, Jon! It is (relatively) warm. And sunny! Perhaps it will reach you soon (if it hasn't already)?

Do you know, I only know one Natacha Atlas song - "From Russia With Love" (from the David Arnold Bond project) - which I love. And now I have another!

    1. It has been remarkably Spring-like here today, too. Thank heavens! Fingers crossed it holds up, and we can set to work on the extensive gardens here at Dolores Delargo Towers.

As for the divine Ms Atlas, we have been huge fans (three albums in our collection so far, plus various remixes) for years! If you click on her name in the little list of labels at the foot of this blog post, you'll find a few more of hers to enjoy... Jx
