Swinging

I've been pruning trees today (as well as shopping and pottering through more of our boxes) - and now, even after a nice bath, I am aching in places I didn't even realise I had places...

Never mind, to wind down after a busy weekend, how about a little trip to the West End (circa 1968, by the looks of it), with some suitably groovy music - courtesy of the excellent Soft Tempo Lounge? Of course:

  2. I practiced a style of pruning other gardeners would call "hacking." Sometimes it worked, sometimes the patient didn't survive. Even when it worked, it never looked good. Now I have a real gardener who comes in twice a month, is excellent at shaping plants and everything looks much better. Plus I'm sure the plants are much happier without my Blind Samurai efforts.

    1. I don't mind using "Blind Samurai" tactics on the scrappy weed trees at the bottom of our garden. We fully intend to get a proper tree surgeon out to decimate the hideous Ash overhanging from next door - particularly as every crack between every paving slab current has one of its seedlings attempting to grow out of it. I have a crevice weeder, sharpened and at the ready at all times. Jx

  3. Fab video. One forgets how blackened all the buildings were before the great clean up.
