  1. Me, too! Which is why I do my socialising here, rather than "out there".

    1. I have often wondered whether your life was like Kim Novak's in Bell, Book and Candle... Jx

  2. Darling Jon,

We cannot possibly, no matter how hard we try, no matter whether we close our eyes tightly, associate you with the every day, the ordinary, the humdrum. Alas, the 'quiet life' is, if we may be so bold as to suggest, never going to be entirely satisfactory for you.

At times, we imagine ourselves in a semi-detached Tudorbethan, mowing the grass and washing the motor car every Sunday and then we awake from the nightmare that this would be. Just imagine the neighbours.....

So, darling Jon, embrace the extraordinary, eccentric, witty and wonderful self that you are. Have a fabulous day!

    1. I couldn't think of anything worse than being described as "ordinary" or, [[shudder]], "normal". And the very thought of living anywhere that didn't have at least one theatre, museum, gallery or performance venue a short bus (or tube) ride away is anathema to me. Jx
