Yeah, cheers sweetie, thanks a lot

Ab Fab news!

None other than "national treasure" Dame Joanna Lumley is going to be announcing the scores from the UK jury at the Eurovision Song Contest final next week!

"It's such a fabulous honour to give the iconic 'douze points'!", she said.

Breaking the news on the BBC's The One Show yesterday, Graham Norton spoke for us all, as he wondered if she might read out the results as Patsy Stone... "Glassful of champagne, fistful of cigarettes. Yeah, do it,"

Now that would be a treat!

  1. So, you’d better watch out, dear.

I think I might be due for another AbFab marathon.

  2. Speaking of her and Dawn French....our local station just started airing reruns of Jam and Jerusalem. What a treat to be rewatching them. And what a cast that show had. Those two in this clip in addition to...Jennifer Saunders, Maggie Steed, Sue Jonston, Doreen Mantle, David Mitchell and more than a few episodes with Miriam Marigolyes....who is a complete riot talking but her va-jay jay. Lumley is almost unrecognizable as Deliha Stagg. And she still delivers. Not to mention Saunders wrote and produced.

It would be funny to see Lumley silver points as Stone...yoir right.

    1. It's funny - we love French & Saunders, Joanna Lumley, Sue Johnston and all the others in the cast, yet we never got around to watching Jam & Jerusalem. [We did, however, adore Dawn and Jen (and Alison Steadman!) in Let Them Eat Cake.] Jx

  4. Ha! That was fun! The woman in pink could be my cousin. She and I look similar, if you could imagine a person like that looking more in fashion with a construction workers outfit. I like my cargo pants and boot with a tank top and a tee-shirt. What can I say? No one has ever accused me of being fashionable, but at least I am highly functional in getting fix-it jobs done. I suspect even on your most casual of days you would still be way more fashionable than I, dear Jon!

    1. So you're a Dawn French lookey-likey, Melanie? Fame at last... Jx
