It's a blustery Autumn day, and the extensive gardens here at Dolores Delargo Towers are covered in rotting leaves and slugs. Time, methinks, to take our minds off this season of decay with a little light music interlude - as we venture into the very weird world of Scopitones again, in the company of a lady who sounds eerily like an Eartha Kitt impressionist...

DeleteFascinating song. When I first saw that Gif in my feed I thought it was the vampire from The House That Dripped Blood. I've seen it recently, and the vamp in that, played by an old queen, does the exact same thing! Kizzes.
ReplyDeleteThat "old queen" was none other than Jon Pertwee aka the Third Doctor (Who)! Remarkably, given his propensity for campery, Mr Pertwee wasn't gay at all (and in fact was at one stage married to Jean Marsh of Upstairs Downstairs fame)... Jx
