After a mammoth day's binge-watching of Marvel stuff at John-John's yesterday (accompanied by loads of cider and buffet snacks) - the whole TV series of Loki, two episodes of their animated series What If..? and the Black Widow movie; all of which I thoroughly enjoyed - this is (understandably) a bit of a day of "R&R".

I can imagine few better ways to complement a lazy day than another sortie into the glamorous lives of stylish people in exotic locations [with a bonus appearance at the end by what looks like a "Dave Lee Travis fan convention"] - courtesy of Soft Tempo Lounge!

Perfect.

  1. I am envious, Jon. ENVIOUS! Of your Marvel binge-watch, of course.

(Although, maybe also a little bit of that mustard/orange(??) shirt & tie-tied trouser combo. I wonder if I could pull it off?)

    1. If you haven't caught up with Loki, I highly recommend it! Look out for Richard E Grant... Jx

PS If you do decide to purchase that lovely outfit, I demand to see the photographic evidence!

  2. Ugh, it's like the wallpaper got out of hand and people started wearing it as clothing! My eyes are offended.

I love that the costume designer Christine Wada put zippers in so that Sophia Di Martino could breastfeed on set. It's easier to give a stellar performance when a person feels supported in the work they do. https://www.buzzfeed.com/kristenharris1/women-designers-stylists-helping-women

    1. Probably related: she had a line on-screen where she asked to (male) Loki if he could conjure her a new outfit because her battle-gear was so uncomfortable to wear... Jx

    2. Yes! I remember that line and then I was like, well? Why didn't he?

  3. Those fabrics! They didn't breathe. And deodorant alone, no matter how much one used, could help. Lots of sweaty, smelly little warthogs swathed in polyester. That scene and song reminds me of Liz Damon's Orient Express ‎– 1900 Yesterday. There was also a series of movies made for drive ins featuring a blonde actress... 'Ginger' - Casey Donovan was in one of them. This blonde reminded me of her. Hope all is well. Such fun. Kizzes.

    1. Deodorants were a novelty back when synthetic fabrics were at their height. That's why the prefumes and aftershaves were so overpoweringly strong - "Tweed" by Lentheric or Faberge "Brut" would make your eyes water!

I'm unfamiliar with either Ms Damon or Ms Donovan, so will need to investigate. Jx

  4. Oh, I got the giggles viewing the DLT add-on!
Crimplene - what can you say about it other than it washed well, and didn't need a tumble-drier or an iron [an iron would melt it]. Pity it looked, and felt so icky.

    1. Crimplene had no redeeming features as far as I'm concerned... Jx

  5. "click to embiggen" Not likely! Bad enough remembering such things!Next thing you'll dredge up poor Roger Moore in his early modelling days cardies...
