Guess what?

Another weekend hoves into view...

...and it would have been the peerless Betty White's birthday today! We miss her. But, this is no time to be sad, it's time to party! And...

...Thank Disco It's Friday!

A classic.

  1. A classic indeed. I don't think I'll ever forget New Years eve 2021 as she literally brought an end to the old year.

Here's to the weekend kids! Cheers

    1. Her departure was the shittest end to the shittest year in living memory.

However, she'll never be forgotten - clink, clink, sweetie! Jx

  2. I think, in Australia, she's possibly best known for re-runs of the GoldenGirls. But she was pretty damn' good in lots of other things, too

    1. It's The Golden Girls for us, too. I know she's appeared in loads of other things (such as The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Hot in Cleveland), but I've never seen them... Jx

    2. She was equally as good in Mary Tyler Moore as Sue Ann Nevins, where she was more or less the snotty, mischievous, man hungry woman of sorts, and arch nemesis to a point, to Mary Richards. Done very well, and the complete opposite of Rose Nyland on the Golden Girls. She was also pretty funny on Mama's Family with Vicki Lawerance, where she played the snotty, upper crust Ellen Harper Jackson. Where funnily enough played Rue Mcclanhan's Aunt Fran Crowly's niece.

    3. I am pretty sure we never got The Mary Tyler Moore Show in the UK (although we did get Rhoda, which I loved at the time). We certainly didn't get Mama's Family (nor the Carol Burnett Show, from which it was a spin-off, according to Wikipedia). Jx

    1. Surprised no-one ever thought to market a "Betty White cheesecake" - they'd have made a fortune! Jx
