It's Our Patron Saint of Dramatic Gestures Kate Bush's birthday today!
All hail.
Here's an old fave magum opus that typifies the great lady's talents - all this, and Miranda Richardson, too...
Many happy returns, Catherine "Kate" Bush CBE (born 30th July 1958)!
Yes, all that and Miranda Richardson. What a great way to start my Sunday!
ReplyDeleteGlad to be of service, sir! Jx
DeleteAs I sit here, I can hear someone at the village fete singing "Running Up That Hill". I'm pretty sure it's not Kate Bush...
ReplyDeleteIt's probably not even Sarah-Louise Young... Jx
DeleteIsn't she a goddess? So talented. Have loved her from the beginning and followed her throughout her career. Truly an amazing artist. Thanks for this. Kizzes.
ReplyDeleteShe's unique. There has never been, nor could there ever be, anyone else like her! I adore her... Jx
DeleteI'm a Kate Bush fan, however, years ago I bought The Line, The Cross and the Curve on VHS I took it back to HMV the next day and exchanged it for The Complete Picture by Blondie, they wanted to know why, I told them because it's a load of old shit, 20 odd years later I did a similar thing with 50 Words for Snow.
ReplyDeleteYou're nothing if not discerning, MItzi! Jx
DeleteShe was so young when she started out, I’m pleased she kept her head. She’s talented, and also seems to be grounded.

She's a very canny girl, Our Kate! Jx
