A Flash o' Me Bloomers!

A small part of our Spring display in the extensive gardens here at Dolores Delargo Towers

Spring is in evidence all around us and, despite the closure of just about everything entertaining in the country, at least we still have a garden to keep us out of mischief! Our local garden centre is still open for the foreseeable future, so I we'll be trolling off there forthwith to look at filling the gaps that will inevitably appear once the bulbs start to fade and the herbaceous plants have yet to bloom.

Here's something "pastoral" for your delectation, dear reader...

Oh, she sits among the cabbages and peas
And she talks to all the little bugs and bees.
They climb up her legs and arms
And all round her other charms.
They see lots of things nobody ever sees.

Lovely...

    1. We've had a very mild Spring so far, so all the bulbs are well ahead of their usual season - we have tulips up as well, and they're not due for at least a month... Jx

    1. Positively Queen Victorian, we hope.

It's been so sunny this weekend, we've been out there pottering around, making preparations for the season to some. And with all this social isolation business, we're incredibly thankful to have a garden to play with and enjoy!

  5. The garden centres around here have been doing extremely well in the current climate - they're selling out of plants and compost as people prepare themselves for plenty of gardening while on "lock down". The upside of this whole affair is that many people will have gardens approaching the beauty of yours, Jon!
