Holiday?
So much for the glorious "last stab at summer" Bank Holiday weekend. This time last year, as I commented to Mr DeVice yesterday, thermometers hit 32C in the UK. Last night, it was so chilly our heating came on! It's still August...
Hey ho, let's forget about the bizarre vagaries of the British climate for a while - and take a little trip once again to Spain (I wish), in the company of some semi-naked guapos:
¡Calma mi corazon latiente!
Sigh.

Heating came on?!?!?!?!?! You best get out your willy warmers.
ReplyDeleteGosh, I don't even put my heat on till almost December. I'm very hot blooded. Our weather has been glorious lately.
We wouldn't normally have the heating on till much later in the year either, but this is not normal weather. Despite Ms Scarlet's pessimism, however, I am hoping for a bit of an "Indian Summer" - we have had some hot weather at Proms in the Park before (and had it been taking place this year, that would be two weeks away), and warm and sunny days in October. This being the UK, though, literally anything could happen. Jx
DeleteI'm hoping it warms up mid-late September as I've got two weeks off work then, and I intend to get back in the sea before it becomes frigid!
ReplyDeleteAnd, I'm sorry to say, those waiters-on-their-lunch-break gallivanting around on the terrace didn't warm me up at all...
I'm sure I'd give them a tip. Jx
DeleteIt's gorgeous here, unless you're in a fire zone. *sigh* I hope you do get some warm weather again! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI keep my fingers crossed. Of course it helps to realise that London is actually on the same latitude as Calgary in Canada! It is only the Gulf Stream that gives us our more temperate weather. Unfortunately, at the moment I think that particular airflow has passed us by... Jx
DeleteMr Devine’s holiday might coincide with a few nice days, but I see nothing in October to strip off for.
ReplyDeleteThat top picture bothers me. Shorts in the rain. Ack.
Sx
Ewww. Wet legs. Hate that. Jx

ReplyDeleteNice bougainvilleas.
Is that a euphemism? Jx
