Oh groovy, baby!

Far too frenetic for a Monday...

Once again, a weekend has whooshed by, and here we are again, bleary-eyed and checking work emails...

Sigh. At least last night's film showing of Moulin Rouge at the Regent's Park Open Air Theatre did go ahead as planned (it didn't rain until the very end, which was a relief!) - and we have a bizarre feast for the senses to wake us all up a bit on the Tacky Music Monday!

Wallow in the extraordinary outfits, rictus grins and sheer psychedelic wonderment of 1960s telly...

Have good week, peeps.

  1. Shades of Up Up With People! Ugh. You meet 'em where ever you go! Mike Curb. Same Mike Curb who brought us Debbie Boone, Leann Rimes and Shaun Cassidy. Mike Curb whose anti-drug grandstanding in the early 70's ostracized him from the rest of the recording industry. Well... he also served as the Lt. Governor of California. But I would have to consider this video his worst crime.

    1. A contrary character, indeed - he was a Nixon cheerleader (and Reagan favourite), yet worked with Harvey Milk to campaign against the anti-gay "Briggs Initiative"; a god-botherer who worked with The Osmonds and the MOR artists you name, who also became a major sponsor of motorsports...

I agree, this video is a crime against taste. Jx
