Get On Up!

Ouch. Thankfully, they only did my arm.

It's been an oddly disjointed Saturday pour moi today, dear reader. I was woken rather unceremoniously to the sound of the toddler upstairs [who's not normally a "demon child", unlike the screaming banshees next door] doing a full Riverdance impression above our bedroom. I need to have a word.

Then, after my usual coffee-and-fags "breakfast" I was off out, taking two buses to Tottenham for my COVID booster. The jab clinic's like a factory line, and from arrival to departure took all of ten minutes. The journey there and back took much, much longer and, after doing a bit of shopping, mainly for more picture frames (hoorah for Argos!), it was too late to do anything in the garden [more's the pity, as I really need to tackle to slimy yellow leaf-carpet some time soon before all the pots disappear under the mush].

Hey ho.

Let's have a bit of a pick-me-up, courtesy of one of Mr Bill McClintock's marvellous mash-ups, shall we?

Brilliant!

  1. I've been doing some fall clean up myself in the garden and pruning about the roses, that have all but stopped blooming now.

    1. Some roses keep on going till bleak midwinter, but not ours (nor yours, it seems), so it's best to prune the stems off in case they snap in the wind.

It is the season for a general "tidy-up" out there, but the weather is against us in London at the moment - storms are forecast tomorrow. 😒 Jx

  2. Wow! That certainly was a pick-me-up (the mash-up, not the unpleasant sounding quick vaccination news). Incredible!
12 sec onwards, and 2:35 in particular reminded me of the "Attack of the Tridents" theme from Ulysses 31

    1. I never watched Ulysses 31, so had to look it up - and yes, there are similarities! It's a faboo mash-up - the man is a genius. Jx

  3. This is all very loud for a Sunday morning - which is why it was published Saturday afternoon!
Congrats on the jab - they are late here - mine isn't due until the 2nd week in November. I might have to have it in my bum, as my arm hasn't recovered from the last jab.

    1. Gosh - your arm is still sore from last year's booster? My arm feels like someone's punched it, but any jab - including the flu one - feels like that for a few days. Better than the alternative, in my opinion. Jx

  4. You really should have included a disclaimer. Imagine how many men are going to look for the hunkiest nurses to grab their junk and poke.
