It was the centenary of the birth of the too, too faboo Miss Ann Miller on 12th April...
...and the 90th anniversaries of both "La Superba" Señorita Montserrat Caballé (also on 12th)...
...and the lovely Elizabeth Montgomery today!
Every one of them sady missed.
Ann Miller, had some depth and brilliant comic timing x
ReplyDeleteShe was superb! Jx
DeleteGals, broads, and dames, one and all.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! Jx
DeleteAnn Miller was superb! I loved her and Mickey Rooney ing their stage show 'Sugar Babies' ! Hell, I loved her as Elsie the Plumber! She never failed to SPARKLE.
ReplyDeleteAnn Miller and Mickey Rooney were apparently the most annoying and difficult pair of cunts to deal with, but we still adore Ann... Jx
DeleteI am baffled by the onetime popularity of mickey rooney
DeleteApparently (and in the words of Teri Garr/ Inga) 'He had an enormous schwantztuker'
DeleteHe may have had a huge dong, but unfortunately it was attached to that ugly little garden gnome. Jx
DeleteHis schwantztuker doesn't crop up in any films as far as I know. I don't want to know about it if it does. And he wasn't in the kind of movies where that could have helped him.
DeleteThey're both just ex colleagues of Judy Garland to me, but Ann Miller was a wonderful singer, dancer and comedy actress
Joyous! xoxo
ReplyDeleteOh, I am please! Jx
DeleteAs lovely and adorable Elizabeth Montgomery is I don't think she merits the term Diva in the same way as the other two, they own the title as if by birthright.
ReplyDeleteAll of them fab in their own way and all missed.
She does rather pale by comparison... Jx
DeleteHow do you decide who gets the Diva tag on this? Or do you just "Know"?
DeleteMy blog, my rules 🤣. Jx
DeleteThe diva posts are my favourite thing on here. You know a lot of great Female and/or LGBT artists
DeleteOne tries one's best! Jx
