Take me to the place I love

We're counting down the hours to our mini-break in Sitges this weekend [Madam Arcati and I fly out at the crack'o'doom on Saturday and fly back on Wednesday]! It's "officially" to celebrate our friend Paul's 70th birthday [hence why I call him "Jurassic Paul"] - but it's also unofficially a little treat to round-off our 25th anniversary month.

Speaking of which...

...whoever would have thought that this little slice of brilliance was a quarter-of-a-century old this week?!

Time flies... scarily.

    1. That sounds ominous. I looked at the Met Office and it seems to indicate alternate sun and cloud, so fingers crossed... Jx

  2. Sitges the St. Tropez of Spain, I'll be there soon! I go in June, you'll be relieved to know. Vilanova la Gertrude the Seaton Carew of Spain, is worth paying a visit for the shops and market.

    1. We're only there for a few days, so my plan is just to lounge around on the bar terraces and enjoy the people-watching in Sitges, not to travel nor to go shopping. Nothing new there, really. Jx

PS Just looked up Seaton Carew. "Bleak" is the word that comes to mind.

  3. Doesn't Sitges have nice bins?! Assuming that fluted, trumpet-shaped thingy is, in fact, a bin...

I hope you see some fine specimens while people watching. Happy anniversary holiday! x

    1. Of all the fond memories I have from our previous visit to Sitges, "bins" wasn't one of them, surprisingly.

We intend to have a faboo little break! One more day to go, and I'm not back in front of that work laptop until after the Spring bank holiday... Jx

    1. Oh, we do month-long celebrations for anniversaries, birthdays, everything - it's the only way to go 😁... Jx

PS I never liked Red Hot Chilli Peppers, but I adore this version of their song! [There are so many artists I think the same about, for example: Bruce Springsteen is "meh" as far as I'm concerned, but Pointer Sisters' version of Fire, Manfred Mann's Blinded By The Light and Patti Smith's Because the Night are brilliant; early Prince and the Family was his naff era, but Sinead O'Connor's Nothing Compares To You is sublime; and I cannot stand Bob Dylan, but Adele's version of Make You Feel My Love is lovely]

  6. Have a wonderful time!
I'm dreading my friends reaching these milestones - 60s, 70s etc. Time just seems to be melting before my eyes.
I haven't heard this All Saints version either - thank you for playing it as All Saints are one of my favourites [I must have heard it, surely?!!]

    1. It seems like only yesterday when I thought hitting 40 meant I was "past it". Now here I am, heading rapidly for 60 (in August)! Jx

    Bobby: Where you going?
    April: Barcelona!

    April: On a boeing.
