Gertrude and Estelle and me

Roses cut from our own "Gertrude Jekyll" bush are scenting our living room in their Art Deco bud vase!

Another busy day in the extensive gardens here at Dolores Delargo Towers, and we need some lounge music to soothe the aching muscles...

I think this very special number by our "house band" Postmodern Jukebox is in order - it fits the bill of "(sunny) Sunday Music" very well indeed!

Sublime.

  1. Fab to have a sunny day in the garden together and Postmodern Jukebox is the perfect sound track for it.

    1. "Many hands make light work", or so they say. I'm still aching...

      Hurrah for Scott Bradlee! Jx

  2. Ah, lovely! The scent of 'Gertrude Jekyll' is heavenly - The Mother's has just begun blooming, too, and it is always a delight to walk past it.

  3. Gorgeous rose. (I have resisted roses since moving this far north, but I did have close to a hundred at the other place.) And the American Boy reminds me of some "Late Night Lounge" times

    1. With a genus so huge, there must be a rose that would grow in the tropics, surely? Jx

PS We love lounge music, late at night, during the day, or anytime!

  4. Cool vintage keyboard. I played one similar in Jazz Band. Had the loveliest tone... Hope all is well, dear. I'm just touching down. Finally.

  5. Yes, Postmodern Jukebox is helping me to recover from an early morning visit to the dentist - very soothing.
