RIP, Abdul “Duke” Fakir, last surviving founding member of The Four Tops
On this Tacky Music Monday, I thought I'd pre-empt my traditional roll-call of the great, the good and the not-so-good who left us this year with a little collection of memories of some of those departed - starting with two that probably don't quite fit the bill of "tacky", but I'm featuring them nonetheless...

Next up, THE LIST...

Some fun tunes this Monday!!! And they helped even though I don't need the pep...how bad can a two-day work week be? One good thing about the holiday falling mid-week.
ReplyDeleteIt is quite a "peppy" selection, isn't it? I need it even less, as I am only back in on Thursday... Mercifully short week. Jx
DeleteUnfortunately, you have the Temptations there instead of the Four Tops. Both Motown though, and both Fab.
ReplyDeleteOops - same suits, wrong band!
DeleteRectified... Jx
I enjoyed playing my way through that lot, Tacky or not.
ReplyDeleteRIP.
Memories, light the corners of my mind... Jx
