Barry Evans is a cutie. As for Louis Jourdan - I found him annoying in On A Clear Day - of course, the whole film was kind of a mess. I get that he's sexy. Remember when we had Omar Sharif, Louis Jourdan, Yul Brenner? Exotic flavors? Like spice rack? Who else? It was an interesting time. Have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteBarry Evans was cute - check the "more here" link for the unresolved questions surrounding his sad demise. Louis Jourdan was indeed a feast for the eyes (despite having been cast in several truly annoying films - I loathe Gigi in particular). Not quite as pretty as fellow countryman Alain Delon - see here - but beautiful, nonetheless. Jx
DeleteOoh! I got here before Scarlet??? I'll just a slice of Poldark to go, thank you.
ReplyDeleteAnd I wouldn't mind some Laurie, with a side of Fry.
How will I ever break the news to Ms Scarlet that you nicked her takeaway?!
DeleteMr Laurie's the least "conventionally hunky/sexy" of all the totty on this list, but I have always fancied him - not Mr Fry, however. I adore him, but... Jx
Has Mr. Turner dropped his towel?
ReplyDeleteI'm on my knees - ahem - picking it up as we speak. Jx
DeleteSoz, no need Jon, I was already down there.

Oh my word!! Thank you! Can we have Aidan every month??? I wonder if I can get that pic to work on WordPress? I shall try tinkering behind the scenes with Aidan...
ReplyDeleteOh, Barry Evans....YES. One of my very early crushes. He was in the Doctor in the House series as well, wasn't he? Or is my imagination getting the better of me?
Sx
I suppose "Gratuitous Aidan Turner photos for Ms Scarlet Wednesday" has a ring to it. Yes, Barry Evans was in Doctor in the House, alongside another (cute) stalwart sitcom actor who died too young, Robin Nedwell. Jx
DeleteScarlet, if you tinker with that photo our Inexplicable friend might get a very large image of Aidan on his sideboard...
DeleteDinah - I shall have a fiddle when I get back from my walk - something to look forward to!

Aha! So this is where the Enormous Aidan sprang from!
DeleteMY enormous Aidan wiggles it about a bit. Jx
DeleteI have just read your 2011 Barry Evans post - so many comments that I think we ought to stage our own investigations into his demise.
ReplyDeleteSx
That post is "the gift that keeps on giving" - 106,000 "hits" and counting, and, as you observed, 96 comments from all over the world!
DeleteI get the impression that Britain's hand-wringing politically correct intelligentsia - who would never permit Mind Your Language to ever be shown again - have absolutely no clue whatsoever how important it was for people from Indian, Pakistani, Sikh, European and Oriental backgrounds to see themselves portrayed on British telly in, to them, positive integral roles.
