Hallowe'en may be over, but the horror of Monday is every week...
Another jolly weekend of "family" gatherings and leisurely pursuits is over, and we're back to the grind again.
Once again, it's up to the Dutch on this Tacky Music Monday to provide us with a bizarre wake-up call! Everything about this shrieks "naff 80s" - and just check out the bemused audience:
Have a good week, dear reader.
So pleased that I didn’t embrace wearing a boiler suit and singing in Dutch in 1984.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week, Jon.
Sx
I would love to see you in a lavender boiler-suit, Ms Scarlet! Jx
DeleteI don't remember any of this from my 80s. Was I in some alternative timeline universe thing?
ReplyDeleteThe 1980s in the USA was no doubt an "alternative timeline universe thing". Although on both sides of the pond Queen Madge, Michael Jackson, Phil Collins, U2, The Police and Prince were huge, our biggest acts included Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Shakin' Stevens, Madness, UB40, Adam and the Ants, Bananarama, Bucks Fizz, Human League and Five Star. In the States, it was all Bruce Springsteen, Run-D.M.C., Van Halen, Public Enemy, Billy Joel, Journey and Guns N’ Roses...
DeleteI'm pretty certain, however, that multi-coloured boiler suits were "a thing" in both worlds. Jx
Those boys are so cute. I love the shape of the pastel turquoise one's glasses and his mouth... grrr. What I would do with that mouth. My word... such a strange Monday... it's almost like I went the whole weekend without getting a little something something. Sigh. Thanks. Those boys are adorable. And make a cute couple.
ReplyDeleteGosh. The very last emotion that comes to mind watching this is "sexy". Jx
DeleteANYONE can look good in a "boilersuit" until...you need to pee. Just saying...
ReplyDeleteOh, the practicalities of life... Jx
