The fact that I just realised that the lovely Sarah Dallin of Bananarama celebrated her 60th birthday last week [as bandmate Keren did so in April] is enough to make me a) feel suddenly very old, and b) have to feature a clutch of 'Nanas choons by way of a celebration! [As if I would ever need an excuse!]...
[Yes. It is a tribute to another great "house favourite" here at Dolores Delargo Towers, Hypnotic Tango by My Mine...]Adore them! Happy birthday, Sarah!
I have always loved them from the beginning.
ReplyDeleteAnd Look on the Floor was an excellent club song, and they proved it years later they still had it. It's a song always sure to put me in a good mood.
They are the perfect way to cheer up a Midwinter's Day! Jx
DeleteYep, they are a favourite here as well!
ReplyDeleteHmmm - 60? That's a bugger.
Sx
Comes to us all in the end... Jx
DeleteI HEARD A RUMOR! (Sorry, didn't mean to shout, it's just that the drum machine is so loud.) YAZZZ. I love 'em. As the original two with the added or minus the added. It's all such fun. I think there ought to be a box set. I love their new stuff as much as the old. Long Train Runnin', Evry' Shade of Blue, Move In My Direction... on and on. I never want them to end. 60? That's nothing. Nothing a little cosmetic surgery and an auto-tune machine can't fix. Hmmm... well, now I know what I want for Xmas! Kizzes.
ReplyDeleteI can't comment on whether Miss Dallin has had anything done (although I doubt it) - but at least she doesn't look as bad as Heather Locklear or Meg Ryan, both born the same year yet look like burns victims...
DeleteCosmetic surgery is not the answer. Jx
PS Maybe "fun" is the solution to keeping youthful. I think we're onto something here. More Bananarama!
One does not expect to hear the line "I dreamt I was in a prison cell..." to go with such peppy sounding music! Hahaha.
ReplyDeleteOne should expect just about anything where Bananarama is concerned! Jx
