How could I ever refuse; I feel like I win when I lose

For a change, I am "not bovvered" that it's Monday again, as I am off for another week! Unfortunately, it's getting a bit nippy out there - just the other day I was in the garden with my top off; now, despite some glorious sunshine I think a comfy fleece may be in order.

Hey ho.

Last Friday, the lovely Miss Keren Woodward of Bananarama turned - gulp! - 60 years old! Today it's Miss Agnetha Fältskog's birthday - so, on this Tacky Music Monday, let's have a little combined celebration/wake-up call, as one beloved diva pays homage to the other...

Have a good week, dear reader.

  1. Adore Bananarama. I know people turn up their nose, but not me. I loved them always... they have been consistent dance floor burners, hit after hit. Move In My Direction, Every Shade of Blue... adore. Thanks for this. Made my Monday. Kizzes. PS? Tits out this early in spring. Good for you. Braver than I.

    1. Bananarama are just brilliant! Like Steps. Like Bette Midler. Like Kylie Minogue. I adore talented artists who never quite take themselves seriously - we love them all the more for it. Jx

PS Oh yes, the titties got a bit of an airing - my cleavage is quite pink from the sunshine. Not today, though.

  2. Crikey! Bananarama did Waterloo?? How have I managed to get to this stage in life without knowing this?!

    1. It was a "one-off" reunion in 1998 for the Channel 4 Eurovision celebration A Song for Eurotrash. [Of course, Siobhan being a contrary Mary also rejoined them for their 20th anniversary in 2002 on stage at G-A-Y - and we were there! - and they also briefly reformed in 2017 for a massive tour; although that soon fizzled out and Siobhan has now re-formed Shakespear's Sister, too]... 1. Scary, isn't it? How time passes becomes particularly shocking when one finds out the actual age of one's idols from one's youth - Boy George, Alison Moyet, Martin Gore, Nick Heyward and both halves of Tears for Fears are all 60 in 2021 (as is "The Karate Kid"!); Chrissie Hynde, Bonnie Tyler and Sting will be 70; Annie Lennox will be 67, and Debbie Harry is 76 this year!
