Love, life and laughter

Wheeee!

Almost there...

...and, for the first time in weeks, a weekend in which I have no plans - so maybe I might turn my attention to the poor, bedraggled garden!

In the meantime, there's feather boas to blow-dry and champagne to be popped - so to get the party started, how about an absolute dance classic of the first order? Thank Disco It's Friday!

Unbelievably, this song was first released in 1994, which makes it as old as Harry Styles, Ava Max, Justin Bieber, Dakota Fanning, footballer Raheem Stirling and sex god Tom Daley, ...

Have a good weekend, dear reader!

    1. The 90s was only yesterday, surely?!

It's when I go on a nostalgia kick back to the 1970s that we start to realise quite how old we are - and that the halcyon days of Disco (this choon's progenitor) are further away in time from us today than they themselves were from the rise of Hitler. Jx

  2. That gif... I've done that move a number of times... it helps to have something sturdy holding one in place. Kizzes.

    1. To misquote Daphne Castle: "That boy could always throw his legs up in the air higher than any of us... and wider." Jx

    1. If I remember correctly, Dinah, you said you were in London in the midst of The Swinging 60s? Well, we are as far away from the famous 1966 Time magazine cover that lunched that epithet on the world as it iself was from Ernest Shackleton's discovery of the magnetic South Pole and Louis Bleriot's fist flight across the English Channel... Scary, isn't it? Jx

    2. That should read "first flight", of course. Jx

    5. PS The singer on that Livin' Joy record Janice Robinson just celebrated her 56th birthday on Friday...

    1. Thank you for your hard work in the garden yesterday you have transormed it.
The ugly mass of fallen leaves and dead and dieing herbaceous has gone and the garden looks so much better for it.

    2. "How can that track be the same age as Tom Daley"? indeed! It's a mindfuck - in both senses of the word.

      Jx

PS I felt an enormous sense of satisfaction clearing that crud from the garden. I hate looking out and seeing hardly anything but death! Of course, there's loads more yet to do...
